Mini-cd images are my favorite thing in the whole world, other than just being able to play without jumping through silly hoops. in the past 7 years i don't think i've ever bought a game that didn't have either a mini-cd or a no-cd patch that let me archive the original somewhere where i never had to touch it.
Yeah, the first thing that I usually do after buying a game cd/dvd is to make an image out of it, so I won't be bothered with games that require the cd/dvd to play...
And yes, HL2 is a very nice game...
