Well, the author does say (on the referring page) that it's "A totally non-conformist, non-standard way to encrypt text."
Reading thru the javascript of this abandoned public beta... I agree.I found this pile of WTFs thanks to arty, who referenced another page on this website in this thread.

Well, it is version 0.01beta3. Apparently.
Strangely, the entire page is written there from the JS, using Document.Write(). (I suppose seeing DOM functions would have been more surprising, considering the site.)

Also, if you're wondering why de-encrypting is not an expensive no-op in Explorer:

What I really liked was that if clicking the Start Over button doesn't work, at least I can Recover from Reset. Although I am not sure what that leaves me with?

That whole site is one major WTF. Srsly.

I like how the XiTouch database thing includes a horrible DB structure (user name is table name) as well as a SQL injection vulnerability (user name is not escaped), and it's all made obvious by the debug messages that are also vulnerable to XSS.
Also, I seem to have accidentally broken EMILY.
