@dkf DropBox is like 56,000 times easier than all those options.
easier? maybe. better? that rather depends on your usecase.
if you have more than 2GB of data Dropbox ain't free, my network share is 18TB of data on a 21TB volume.
In order to store that much data on dropbox i'd need to get dropbox business which is $15/user/month with a minimum of 5 users.... yeah not doing that.
it would also require me to have at least a 18TB volume on any machine i want to have access to my data on.
and then there's the the bandwidth between me and dropbox.
on the other hand it took me a total of 20 clicks and 15 seconds of typing to setup CIFS and NFS on my NAS, and 18 of those clicks were just navigating the filesystem to the nodes i wanted to export via CIFS and NFS and the typing was giving those exports names.

I'm not doing anything wrong, other than viewing this site at work, which double-proxies connections destined for the internet. ;)

Oh, that's right. I've worked so long for a place that treats the employees like adults[1] and doesn't filter the internet.
[1] or, more likely, is too cheap/dumb to do it. Either way I don't care.

Quite a large percentage of employees here I wish weren't considered adults...
