They should’ve reported this bug to Grammarly. Probably they have some sort of plugin that’s buggy.

Yes, Grammerly in its entirety has so many weird edge case bugs.

I'm going to take a WAG that this is definitely a Grammarly problem. It probably only affects Chrome because Grammarly looks for processes by executable name, and I guess that the gif contains a triggering sequence; it might happen to be a few bytes that look like a word sequence Grammarly wants to correct, and it then goes in and smashes something in Chrome that it shouldn't.
Yet another good reason to not use Grammarly...

I am extremely disappointed they did not provide the jip that causes this when Grammarly is installed.
