I found this thread of Alex uploading images to the site, because whatever he was using to power the front page was probably front page worthy

Just to provide an update -- I've downloaded CS 2.0 and it's looking pretty good. I'm looking forwardt o getting this site runnign on it. Here's what needs to be done before ...
-> Create / Modify CS2.0 Skin to have our logo
-> Create main page like the one now
-> Add RSS Feed like one now
-> Transfer all dataThese dont seem to difficult to do, I hope to start diggging in and figuring out how to accomplish these things.

@sockpuppet7 Now I'm curious if the "programmer or serial killer" thread is about MurderFS.

The famous CS tag cloud, I didn't see it at it's time

In 2014, there was some zalgo and emojis on the tag cloud
-
2015, we had a forum software that doesn't look good on the archive

There are people who do this sort of thing professionally. They work for big libraries, and are trying to record the internet as much as they can so that it will be possible to study it academically in decades to come.

(or rather, a whole lifetime)

@Applied-Mediocrity Maybe. The librarians are looking to enable whatever people 100 years from now might want to know about what, for us, contemporary culture. They're not too fussed about current researchers.

Isn't that roughly how/why archive.org itself got started?
