TL; DW: Son vs. mother regarding repayment of a "loan" he supposedly made to his parents in 2000. There is no written record of the loan agreement until 3 days before the trial. "Smoking gun" document dated 2000 was printed in Calibri — which wasn't designed until 2004 and wasn't available in Word until 2007.

@HardwareGeek Was the son Dan Rather?
-
@hungrier I don't recall that he identified the participants by name, but if he did, I'm pretty sure I'd remember the name Dan Rather.

My favorite font-related annoyance is when TV/Movie/etc. people use the MacOS UI font Chicago as a "computery" font for banners, documents, and such in shows set before the Truetype version was released in 1991. Until then all you had was a 12 point bitmap version.

@Parody Or have the VGA font on the screen of a computer that isn’t an IBM PC and/or wouldn’t have had a VGA card at the time.
-
@Gurth Of course, EGA 8x14 is the One True Computer Font, as any fule kno.
