I am through with this shit company. Forgot my Apple ID password … The bastards make me wait 14 days … Then they make me wait another 23 hours … Piss on them … I tired of waiting … I just gave my iPad and iMac to Catholic Site for donations … I bought a new HP with Windows. I like it better. Their Office Suite does not lose anything like that shit notes of Apple … Never will I ever buy another Apple Product ever. They don’t care about their good customers when they pull shit like making us wait to change our password. They should be in Russia or China like the Commies. They are no better. I cannot say enough bad about this shit US company.

@stillwater If you lose your Apple ID password, and you don't have any other Apple devices signed in to your Apple ID that it can push notify, they have a 14 day waiting period before you can reset it. This supposedly makes it so that a bad actor can't compromise your e-mail and then immediately trigger the password reset flow to compromise your Apple ID as well. After this period, you're allowed to continue the password reset request, which has additional (manual) checkpoints before it completes.

Clearly they should do like MS does and allow new logins from the other side of the world without any 2FA checks (with 2FA enabled) and without triggering any suspicious activity alerts.

A couple of years ago I bought an iPad which I thought would be a replacement for my old dead laptop. (Spoiler Alert: Nope). In order to install any software you have to have an account with the Apple Store (or whatever its called).
When I tried to create an account, Apple says that my e-mail is already in use.
I did have an iPod, maybe I setup an account and don't remember it.So, I tried to go through the password recovery process. I put in my e-mail address (you know, the one that Apple says they already have) and ..... TA-DA!! .......
"There is no account registered with that e-mail address".

@Gern_Blaanston Did you check for correct UPPER and lower case? That might make a difference here or there, and now and then, but not everywhere and everytime...

Anyway, I read that in a tone like "they make Hitler look bad". It is not, by itself, an endorsement of China.

I once tried to go through the password recovery process on my Skype name's password because it was hacked and apparently someone fuckered it.
After several back-and-forths with Microsoft (because by then it had been slurped up), I failed to recover it because I guess when signing up if you provide incorrect information it doesn't matter but when trying to validate it you have to use real-world proof.
So if anyone skypes me @Tsaukpaetra I will probably not respond. But the reason will more likely be that fuck Skype than that I can't be reached.
