This could almost go in cute stuff, but not quite. It could almost go in funny stuff, but not quite. It could almost go in the good ideas thread, but not quite. Touching, heartwarming — it doesn't quite fit any existing thread (that I could find), so I have spared no expense to create a new thread for it.

A 72-year-old grandpa in Alabama left a bucket of free old baseballs at his local batting cages and he attached a note to it that is the stuff man-tears are made of.

@JBert I did think about that, but it is about "high-tech baseball," which this is definitely not. Plus, it hasn't been posted to in a long time, which means I'd have to search for it, and
finding anything.
