@Gąska said in Java is a statically typed language which couldn't care less for type safety:
Leave C++ alone. If not for legacy stuff, it would be very good language.
In my defense, I've been a professional developer for less than a year back then.
I encourage you to read some random posts from your own history and post the particularly stupid stuff here.

Challenge accepted! (there's bound to be some pretty dumb stuff.)
Edit;
Aaaw... There just a single post from 2006 and that is a silly joke.Edit 2:
On my other account the strangest thing I said washuman breastmilk is very fatty and IMHO not very tasty. Perhaps thats it?
And there is no connection to anything so I have no idea what it was a reply to. But seems like I haven't changed much in 14 years, still saying strange things completely out of context.

Some things don't change, though:

Vandalism. Just like everything else on the internet.

@loopback0 what the fucking fuck.
How could anyone program that dialog and not think to themselves "who would ever want to use that function and for what purpose?"

Not that I was wrong, but boy did that age badly anyway:
@topspin said in MPS Banned?:
First off, I think banning MPS is not appropriate. He should at least have been warned before all of this escalated.
But then the atmosphere around here has degraded enormously. Yes, calling out someone when he's wrong is definitely not trolling. But there's no need to throw around insults south park style like first graders. Back in the days only the really stupid trolls were flamed for their stupidity. Being wrong once or twice doesn't mean you're a fucking moron.Also, I have a feeling that this was a time well before jokes giving this a different nuance:
@topspin said in Billboard combination fail! (sorry no pictures):
Hold on there, I'm gay and I don't make CSS jokes. I strictly draw the line at binary jokes.
EDIT: I have this feeling that the several forum migrations mixed up replies and topics. I have no idea who that was in reply to and how it relates to the topic it is in.

@topspin and the first thread you linked... Boy, how little has changed in all those years!
@ObiWayneKenobi said in MPS Banned?:
We need to be ruthless with people who blatantly troll and post ignorant bullshit in response to every thread that someone posts.
@morbiuswilters said in MPS Banned?:
Care to provide some examples of trolling or ignorant bullshit?

When Community Server posts were imported into Discourse, each CS post got a new Discourse post number, and all links to CS posts had a permanent redirect in place to the corresponding Discourse post. However, the replies associated with each post point to the Discourse post that has the same ID number as the original reply's CS post ID number. I think the redirects are also broken now that we're on NodeBB, but I could be wrong.

How the hell can I randomize that? Should I switch to paged mode for a while?

Sure. Sure. But is it equally useless to complain about others quoting the entire OP? What about complaining about the complainers? And then complaining about them? I'm having a hard time figuring out what TRWTF is. I guess I'll just wait for MPS to figure out why it's really me.

Yeah, those rants going on and on definitely were much worse than anyone “full quot[ing] the OP”.
EDIT: was blakey on a particular side on this?

@boomzilla Luckily we switched to a forum software that made quoting easy to dismiss and easy to follow.
And then promptly switched off of it.
