Shoulder alien

Somewhat inspired by recent events — or rather, they were recent, ish, at the time…
Obligatory rambling:
Huh, I was getting really concerned because every export I tried would make the whole thing hideously light and desaturated (it was sRGB and everything!), but it seems here that firefox is actually rendering the colours more accurately than the default image viewer? Testing further, even the preview in explorer is apparently fine? Well, zero complaints there.I'd actually started a "shoulder alien" pretty much one year ago, but it was looking terribad and I must have since deleted it, because it's nowhere to be found. Nothing of value was lost, really.
Now I suppose this needs to be cleaned up into an emoji and PRed and
accepted and merged, right? And if anyone wants a high-quality print, I'm sure something could be arranged…Filed under: Somebody said, "you didn't draw that!", I suppose that's a compliment.

well you didn't..... right? it looks like you 3d modeled it and composited it into the scene. which is like more impressive than your average drawing..... she says knowing she royally sucks at drawing and cannot design an organic looking anything in 3D modeling to save her life....
if it IS a drawing then it's even more impressive than that and i must applaud you and offer to buy you a beverage of your choice (alcoholic or nonalcoholic per your preferences) should we ever meet in person.

Was it a former US president?

I guess that's what we call "effective shading", combined with being scaled down. Everything looks good scaled down (just not to, like, 3px across). Helps that there's that strong, mostly unidirectional lighting to provide a nice contrast between light and shadow, y' know?

Hence "cleaned up". Remove the background (trivial as that's a separate layer), brighten it, and there's already an easily-discernible difference between alien and mammal.

Impressive is... well, impressive. He'll appreciate the sentiment though.
