AI, or: the possibilities are endless!

From deep learning to deep throating 'tis but a small step.

deep throating
I've never really understood the fascination. I'll put it in the same bin as "jiggle physics"...

Scientists (...) Develop an AI that Sucks
Day as usual.

In this paper, we seek to quantify the ‘common’ or ‘typical’ movements involved in oral sex performed on males. To do so, we analyze a dataset containing over 108 hours of pornographic video, annotated at each frame with the position of the lips along the shaft of the penis
Do you see the problem here?

The robot will only be able to fulfil wish-fulfilment inaccuracies?
I can't wait to see what it comes up with for tentacle-based datasets...

Hang on, did the writers only get access to the source code of the paper (it very much looks like LaTeX to me, which while standard for scientific papers is in itself fitting for the topic of the paper, but that's an old joke)? But then why does it have a footnote (the small "6" on the 4th line)? Is it how the final paper really looks like (I could check, but )?
So many questions...

Was considering the Internet of shit thread but then this one's title seemed more appropriate...

Looks like the sort of thing that often comes back as what the publisher claims is a draft ready for publication, where footnotes are correct but you might as well not have bothered with the math.

Whoa. You're allowed to use footnotes? :mind_blown.eps:
But, yeah, not only did the editor botch the math, they also rasterized your carefully produced vector graphics and applied enough JPEG to the results to make most internet meme images look print ready in comparison. (And that's still relatively well-off, because at least they left your text as-is.) And then you pay them a few €1000.

rasterized your carefully produced vector graphics
At 72 DPI, no doubt. Or lower, then scaled it up.

Well no wonder. You went to a cheap journal…
