Dingell first entered Congress in 1955, succeeding his father who had died earlier that year. He went on to serve as Congressman of the 12th District for 59 years, until his retirement in 2014.
Debbie Dingell, his wife, has held the position since then.
Father, son, wife. A little nepotism, anyone?

Perhaps we need a separate "official 2019 'Brits I've never heard of' death pool" thread.
I'm surprised nobody has posted this Brit I have heard of, yet:

Depending on how things go, Jussie Smollett should be placed on suicide watch.

Before my time, unfortunately. I didn't become a fan until I was, I dunno, maybe 7ish years old (whenever it was that my grandparents moved to a retirement community, and their neighbor, who was from Brooklyn, insisted that I had to be a Dodgers fan to be her friend), and that was several years after they moved to L.A. My earliest memories (of baseball) are of Sandy Koufax and Don Drysdale.

Sandy Kofax
Three thousand years of beautiful tradition!
-
@lolwhat On one highly visible occasion, anyway. I gather he wasn't usually that observant.
I had to look him up on Wikipedia (and google your meme) to find out what you were talking about. I think my earliest more-or-less clear memory of him is his retirement the next year. I wish I remembered him better, but that was over 50 years ago, and I was but a wee lad. I remember Don Drysdale only slightly better, and â getting back on topic â Don Newcombe not at all.

I figured it will help his career however it goes. Making false allegations did not seem to hurt "Rev." Sharpton, and he's not even an entertainer.

Luke Perry is currently starring as Fred Andrews in Riverdale
I got news for you, photo in an article about how he died
-
@loopback0 IMDB says he acted in 95 movies and TV shows. AFAIK, I've never seen a single one of them.

That's what you get from watching all that porn

@boomzilla Dang, had a pretty good run and then somebody I'm not glad to hear about dying pops up.
-
@Gribnit I was surprised to find out he was still alive, actually.

Nope, never heard of him either, but..

Stand-up comedian Ian Cognito was performing at a comedy club in Bicester when he fell ill on-stage
-
TE;DR:
Mr Bird, who runs the Lone Wolf Comedy Club event at the venue, said Cognito had not been feeling well before the gig started, but insisted on going on stage.
Mr Bird said Cognito had even joked about his health during his set, telling the audience: "Imagine if I died in front of you lot here."
It was Mr Bird who first went on stage to check if his fellow comedian was ok.
"Everyone in the crowd, me included, thought he was joking," he said.
"Even when I walked on stage and touched his arm I was expecting him to say 'boo'."
Audience member John Ostojak said: "Only 10 minutes before he sat down he joked about having a stroke.
Mr Bird said dying on stage would have been the way the veteran comic "would have wanted to go", "except he'd want more money and a bigger venue".
-
@Zecc It reminds me somewhat of Spike Milligan's epitaph.

Reminds me a bit of the death of Tommy Cooper. Except he was playing a very large venue and was also on live TV at the same time. But then Cooper was actually famousâŚ

I don't know who she was, but apparently she was well-known on the other side of the pond:

Oh, you must remember her. From her Wikipedia page:
Naylor's first television role was in 2004 in Absolutely Fabulous as Jane.
Saffy later gives birth to a daughter and names her Jane; Eddy, however, persists in calling her "Lola".
Ok, she was 2 at the time...
-
@HardwareGeek Naylor? We didn't even know her.

The girl remains in a children's detention facility but is below the age of criminal responsibility and will face no charges for the cannibalism.
INB4: Sure the female never faces the same consequences.
Though, seriously, I hope she gets a lot of help because this will be a tough thing to carry on her conscious the rest of her life.

I'd usually expect âconscienceâ there⌠but âconsciousâ works well enough too. Real horror movie stuff thisâŚ

I'm sure she has PTSD...and it will probably even take years before the gravity of what happened hits her.

If not for your post I would have thought the cannibal had eaten the 12-year-old as well, and that she was the 'girlfriend' of the landlord. Way to misinterpret.
