@tsaukpaetra I just can't help pointing out how relevant her name is in the context of this topic.

I wasn't going to mention it, but I certainly snickered when I saw it.

Alright, last chance before I start using stronger words, probably under a different account in case they start researching...
I feel that I'm not being taken seriously, and am being ignored. Have you read the content of my query in any part?
This is a rather serious matter, as several associates have concerns over the truthfulness of these claims, whose livelihood would be negatively impacted were their accounts to become terminated.
For reference, I'm including a copy of the prior messages, in case the PayPal Secure Message Center was occluding them from your view:
I'm not talking about unauthorized activity and the message was not spoofing PayPal, as per the original question, this was an email claiming accounts that are discovered to have been created before the account holder was 18 years of age, regardless of account standing or longevity, were being obliterated.
Is this correct?I just got a scare mail saying PayPal will destroy accounts for being created before the user as 18 years (and one day) old.
I've been an outstanding user since day one for over a decade, but seeing this notification got me fearful.I really don't want to lose PayPal as a nice solution, but I was hoping that if the rules are that stringent that even an 11 year old account can get banned, what steps should I take to recreate mine "just in case"?
Obviously maintaining my current account identity and data would be paramount, which a banning would inevitably destroy, followed by a length of time while I re-establish all the many service payments I currently use PayPal for.
Please advise.

Because they would be made null and void by termination of the account? I dunno, I was trying to put in some professional scary words. You know, the kind that gets you rated on certain lists.

So they want me to send them the email:
Wondering how I'm going to provided an email for an Internet article...
Ah! I'll link them to it!
Message was a link to an online article:

Response:
Yup. Still not paying attention. Let's try again:
Alright, I think we're going in circles here. Consider the following scenario:
Johnathan Smithers, born Jan 1, 1990 decides to open a PayPal account on Dec 31, 2007 at 11:59pm. All is well, he gladly uses PayPal for most personal online transactions, enjoys all the benefits of being a full member for years. Here comes 2017, PayPal requests a Photo ID, Proof of Address, or Billing Statement. Johnathan gladly supplies a copy of his Driver's License. PayPal immediately bans his account, locking further usage of the account and cancelling all of his recurring subscriptions, leading to a long uphill battle to recover his account and become a happy PayPal customer once again.
How accurate is this scenario?
Will. PayPal. Ban. Accounts. Regardless. Of. Account. History. And. Good-standing. Status?
It's a rather simple question, one which makes me rather nervous pondering why you refuse to give a straight answer, and is steering me as a faithful promoter and customer of PayPal to consider switching to a competitor if such shadiness is inherent in the operations of the company.

such shadiness
Don't attribute to malice what is easierly explained by incompetence.
-
@tsaukpaetra This, however, is not Canned Response #774B. Note the second paragraph: "i want you to inform by opening a PayPal account certain guidelines that you need to fulfill". No way would they let through an uncapitalized I and a grammatically incorrect sentence.

I noticed that too. Forgot to comment on it though.

That being said, you're absolutely not going to get a straight answer at this level. No way they're going to stick out their neck that way or even ask someone higher up for you.

I think I'll drop the matter for now.
