4D toys

While a cool concept, I'm not sure I'm willing to part with £11 for a basic sandbox.
-
Good news for roleplayers:
-
@raceprouk Oh good, I've always wanted to see what a D5 roll looks like without fudging dice.
On a less sarcastic note, I've always been somewhat intrigued by 4D stuff, and the full game they talk about once it comes out might be intriguing, but I agree that that price for a sandbox is high.

!roll CEIL((1d10)/2)
?
Then I wouldn't be looking at a D5, now would I?

Have a free Rubik's klein bottle then. Windows only.

And on the offchance that's there's anyone here who hasn't seen it...

@pjh oh, the miegakure guy.
love him, adore him, respect him.
except the moment when he (guy making 4D stuff) said that there probably won't be Android version of his iOS app because it looks too complicated.
SERIOUSLY, GUY??? YOU ARE MAKING 4D GAME! YOU MANAGED TO MAKE A VERSION FOR THE ABHORRENT SHITTY iOS!
And pre-school Android seems too complicated?!?
Seriously?

And I recall that about 20 years ago at GenCon, some manufacturer sold what they called “shard dice” (I think) that were basically longitudinal crystal-like shapes with numbers on the sides. IIRC they had all kinds of non-standard numbers of sides, but I didn’t buy any because they cost rather more than I was willing to spend on dice so I’m hazy on the details.
-
@gurth Yeah, but those long crystal-type/"shard" dice suck balls. They either roll forever (with the problem getting worse the number of faces it has) or are impossible to read.
-
@e4tmyl33t That doesn’t surprise me in the slightest — the more face, the more like a cylinder it’ll be, after all. Oh well, if I ever do buy any, we use a dice tray anyway :)

It'd probably be easier to just
!roll % 5
.

It'd probably easier to just
!roll % 5
.With most RNGs that will not be totally fair.

But most dice are considered fair enough.

@gurth Yeah, I considered adding something like 'But probably fairer than a typical physical die' but I don't like double-posting or editing my posts.
