@tufty Can we just not do that?.... Or give me a way to disable it?
Filed Under: Thanks in advance
-
@Kuro I don't know. Can we?
-
@tufty I sure hope so!
Filed Under: you can abuse the tags for that. I have them disabled. Deal?
-
@tufty Short of disabling Unicode which is A Bad Thing, or crazy styling rules which are also Bad Things, I don't think we can fix it. Other than by not being tools about it.
COME SON OF JOR-EL, KNEEL BEFORE ZALGO
-
@Arantor We managed to keep the frontpage violation at minimal levels on Discourse (the Sidebar ones) So I was hoping we could do with the same level of restraint on topic-titles...
Filed UNder: Maybe
-
Crikey, it does break the tags, as well.
-
@Kuro I was under the impression it was "fixed" in Discourse via the use of additional CSS to stop zalgo text overflowing.
-
@tufty Discofixed, you mean?
-
Nah, "discofixed" would have meant an extra 57% CPU load with no discernible result.
-
@tufty I already did something like that... but it still looks ugly and you know it.
Filed Under: There is only so much I can do clientwise
-
how did people write those zalgo jokes where the unicode things increase slowly as you reach the end of the text?
they werent typeing all that unicode by hand, were they?
-
I think Tony the Pony is a pretty cool guy. Eh makes zalgo come and doesn't afraid of anything.

yeah. @PJH added a CSS rule in discourse that kept the issues mostly at bay.
IIRC i was the one that eitehr asked for it or supplied it to be applied....

http://eeemo.net/ Using a generator.

@FrostCat I found these, b̧ut͏ t͞h͢e̡y̴ don't in̕creaşe̴ sub͞tl͢y͞ like ҉w҉͡h͜͡e͜n t̵͡h̵͡͡i̸͟͠s̵ m̷em̢͢͟e̵ w̡a̢̡͟s͘͞ p̢o͏p͟u҉͠͠l͏a͢r̢
-
@fbmac Stop that, dammit.
At any rate, you take care of that by doing it manually: mildly Zalgo a block of text, them mediumly Zalgo another block, and so on.
-
@FrostCat i was trying to get rid of duplicated post, but discourse, I mean, nodebb deleted both when I did, crazy stuff.
-
@fbmac all my posts are showing duplicated, wtf, discourse!
paging @ben_lubar
-
@fbmac it seems to be client side
