Trump does rocket science

Fuck Donald Trump. Right in the ass.
-
Fuck Donald Trump. Right in the ass with a Saturn V.
because if you're not willing to sodomize a celebrity into lunar orbit then you're not willing to go far enough.
-
Lunar orbit increases the risk that he'll be discovered by beings beyond ourselves. That is NOT the kind of first contact I want to risk.
-
Lunar return orbit then. you've got the deltaV for that with a Saturn V
-
-
Hell, with a payload mass fraction as low as an unsuited Trump supported only by a stick up his ass, the Saturn V system probably has enough delta V to do much more interesting things than that.
-
Spacesuit or no spacesuit?
suit, yes.
and it will be in space.... so technically it will be a space suit.
it won't be the kind of space suit NASA would endorse tho.

sundiving you think?
-
-
I would have thought moving towards the Sun would need less delta-V, due to how absolutely fucking massive the Sun is compared to everything else.
-
I think diving Jupiter requires less delta-V?
yeah, but if you did that you're run the risk of offending the monolith.
i'd rather spend the extra deltaV to send a celebrity into the sun

hmm.... someone needs to spend some time playing Kerbal Space Program.
or watching more Scott Manley
:-P

Only if you attempted to land Trump on Europa; I don't think the monolith really cares about Jupiter itself.

Let's just say there's a reason I write websites instead of building rockets ;)

did i mention that';s more or less the entire point of KSP?
it's a fun game!
insanely difficult because physics is a cruel mistress, but fun because of those moments when you succeed and actually land that unmanned rover on the surface of Duna (the mars equiv)
i highly recommend it!

Why don't you spam up another topic with this spaceship talk?!
-
I helped! :)

because
Why don't you spam up another topic with this spaceship talk?!
eventually someone of TL4 or higher will come along and split the topic for me and then i will have!
:-)
-
Of course, it helps when someone flags for a Jeffing ;)
-
-le gasp-! a betrayal!
-
-
Ah yeah, forgot they can't see those sorts of flags...
-
I mentioned this before, but it seems relevant here:
Petition to send Donald Trump into space and leave him there
-
...and signed
-
But will the moon grant him a transit visa?
-
But will the moon grant him a transit visa?
doubt it, but then if they blow him up with their orbital defenses when he's on a parabolic escape trajectory..... well isn't that a win win?

I am not opposed to this, but it must be unbiased. Candidates from the other party must also be represented in this great national undertaking. Should minor party and independent candidates be included? I'd say yes; any party with sufficient significance that they had a candidate that qualified for FEC funding (whether they accepted the funding or not) in the last election should be "invited" to participate in this, along with any independent candidates that qualify. However, even if only the two main parties participate, it would be worth the enthusiastic support of all Americans.
-
Agreed. It should be hyperbolic for it to be an escape trajectory.
-
*thinks the term 'parabolic' was chosen deliberately*
-
Hmm, a parabola is an ellipse with the other focus at infinity, and a hyperbola doesn't have a second focus at all; it expands even faster than a parabola.
-
Actually, a hyperbole has its second focus on the other side. Where an ellipse is the set of points where the sum of the distances to the two foci is equal to a constant, a hyperbola is the set of points where the difference of the distances is equal to some constant.

Shut up, you're ruining everyone's Two Minutes Hate!!

No, I'm just trying to spread it around.

There should be a KSP mod to have Trump as a Kerbalnaut.
-
Agreed. It should be hyperbolic for it to be an escape trajectory.
To be fair, the trajectory doesn't have to escape; it could reintersect with Earth's surface. It should just do so at a considerable velocity.
Bonus: mission success can be determined more easily.
-
Agreed. It should be hyperbolic for it to be an escape trajectory.
nein!
it's only hyperbolic if the speed is in excess of escape velocity, if the speed at closest approach is exactly escape velocity the orbit is parabolic.
of course that's in a one body system. in the real world it's an N body system so the orbit will never be a perfect conic section.

Who's representing the Silly Party and the Very Silly Party?

Silly Party
it appears to be a blue hedgehog with red running shoes...
Very Silly Party
TrumpSatOne?
oh, wait no. he's not eligible as he can't return to Earth to take office....
hmm...
oh! i know!
DOKTOR ROBOTNIK!

They did both once run for presidency of Mobius:

Sometimes I wonder why the Monster Raving Loony Party doesn't set up a US affiliate.
-
Isn't that the Republican Party?
