it's likely that she was luckily bitten by a non-venomous species.
I've just realized this is one of those cases were the venomous / poisonous distinction actually matters.
-
@Zecc Yeah, it makes a differences if the girl got bitten by the snake, or if she devoured it.

Someone needs to explain this, albeit belatedly, to Alice Cooper.

No one needs to explain anything to Alice Cooper. Heās perfect the way he is.

ļ » Android 13 comes with new "security features". Of course, within less than a week since its release, they have been hacked:

@DogsB He may be perfect. But we need to talk about one of his most famous songs.
Specifically this line:
I wanna taste you but your lips are venomous poison

Cute, but the actual line is:
I wanna taste you, but your lips are venomous.
Poison.
Your poison running (etc.)ETA
I'll leave this here for future use

Firstly, you better tell the official YouTube video's maintainer since it's wrong on that video
But also, the Trash album linear disagrees.

Pendantry about an Alice Cooper song. Never has this forum sunk so low.
Anyway.

Anyway.
Gotta wonder what politics are at work where something that has been known for a very long time is suddenly declared a security vulnerability...

Science:
https://www.science.org/doi/10.1126/science.abm8868Hmm, doesn't seem to onebox:
Per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) have been referred to as āforever chemicalsā because of their resistance to most biological and chemical degradation mechanisms. Most current methods use very harsh conditions to decompose these compounds. Trang et al. found that there is a potential weak spot in carboxylic acidācontaining PFAS: Decarboxylation in polar, non-protic solvents yields a carbanion that rapidly decomposes (see the Perspective by Joudan and Lundgren). The authors used computational work and experiments to show that this process involves fluoride elimination, hydroxide addition, and carbonācarbon bond scission. The initial decarboxylation step is rate limiting, and subsequent defluorination and chain shortening steps occur through a series of low barrier steps. The procedure can accommodate perfluoroether carboxylic acids, although sulfonic acids are not currently compatible.
Still a long way to go, but it is start.

I think it was Roger Waters who observed that not once ever did the album production people ask him what the words were to one of his songs. They apparently just listen to the song and do their best.
-
@Bim-Zively but also, Roger Waters is an arse and I wouldnāt want to go talk to him if I didnāt have to. Iām not sure it applies to all cases though.
To my original pendantry moment, all the sources I can find - plus my own listening to the song - does strongly seem to suggest it really is as per the liner notes, viz. āvenomous poisonā and not a break to the next line.

It's so new that it was discovered decades ago.
-
@Carnage what is old is then new again when this generation of hipsters rediscovers it and think they were the first, because no one in modern computing has learned a fucking thing from history.

Make it centuries or even "since the dawn of time".

This is a human vulnerability and has very little to do with network cards or LEDs. Someone found how to manipulate the PHY to blink LEDs. Very research. Much blinking. Wow.

@Carnage and it will be new and revolutionary. Again.
