@Gribnit They're just acute and grave accents, nothing to worry about

@PJH linked an article in In other news today... that said:
That's because the accident happened at work and involved two employees and you can't sue the boss in that situation.
At least around here if an accident happens at work involving two employees, the company and the boss will be investigated whether they followed standard safety rules (and from the look of it they didn't), and if not, they will be liable.
-
… in fact here the company is financially liable for any work injury always, and then it's criminal liability that depends on how the safety standards were followed.

Hey now. Some sites only work with Chrome or Edge.
And I Chrome for no-one!You must work for my company. Our benefits site only works on Edge. (No idea about Chrome as I don't have that installed)

@hungrier ... I should really look out for which accents then? Is there a little IUPAC radiation accent?

This is the dumbest shit I’ve read all week.
You can’t “sue the boss” because “it happened at work”? When can you sue the boss, when it happens at home? Could this be any more ass-backwards?The car owner should be suing back for both damaging the car and bringing a frivolous lawsuit.

This happened in Michigan, and Michigan has a law the the owner of a vehicle is ALWAYS liable for any injury caused by the vehicle, regardless of circumstances. Yes, it's a very bad law.

Do we though? Nobody spies on us publicly, sure. But we don't know that they don't spy on us at all. And even less that they didn't desire to spy on us.
Considering the political division in Europe, observable e.g. in the French election as the race being between Macron and Le Pen, our betters surely want to keep better tabs on our talkings about.
Hell, Garage has enough content to get us all arrested posthaste, if encryption were outlawed right now and a simple MITM were enough to get full access.

Yeah, but you can capture the first image in HDR/4k again.

@acrow consider that the likes of the Stasi and the monitoring that went with it are still very much within living memory. Europe as a whole seems to take data privacy more seriously.
It’s not perfect by a long shot but I’ll take that over the free-for-all I’ve seen elsewhere.

The first image was from 2019 of the SMBH of the galaxy M87.
The news from yesterday is the first image of the SMBH Sagittarius A* at the center of our galaxy, the milky way.
