Climate change broke houston weather again. (The official everyone gets a h[w]oosh thread)
-
It's already May, the zig zag should have stopped a month ago.
-
Oh, wait. The Europeans won't be able to understand.
Here you go.
-
The Europeans won't be able to understand.
I'm fairly sure, given all you've done is posted a graph with no context and no scales, that no-one will understand what you're on about
-
You don't need context or a scale.
Houston temperature is binary.
-
Non-European* here, I think I can solve the mystery. According to this graph, Houston is supposed to be very hot in the summer.
-
-
-i = Thermometer lost in alternate dimension.
-
You don't need context or a scale.
Houston temperature is binary.
That's context!
-
Houston is supposed to be very hot in the summer.
Also humid, as opposed to Dallas, which is only (usually) very hot. It's the difference between stepping outside into an oven and stepping outside into a steam bath.
-
It's quite clear, Watson.
Even a squirrel could deduce that.
-
-
Reminds me of that classic Seattle weather postcard, where it's just a gradient of greys. I can't find an image of it online, but trust me it was brilliant.

there's like 8 million of those types of seattle comic/postcards.. hopefully that one was actually funny
-
on topic, you're going to give @boomzilla a heart attack calling a short term weather phenomenon (do doo do do do) a direct effect of global warming
-
or climate change.
-
Oh, right, it's @xaade.
-
-
Yeah, posting another random image doesn't normally count as explaining
-
@xaade, where's the chart version for Australians?
-
So they added every little stinking east european country & @onyx's but not Belgium?
-
That map cleared it right up.
-
Hello, my name is Onyx and I come from 4...

Why is my country labelled with a term of mild disgust?

Accuracy in labeling? <no, really I have no idea what you're talking about>

Accuracy in labeling?
@boomzilla said:no, really I have no idea what you're talking about
It's just an unfortunate side-effect of being the United Kingdom ;)
-
That was my best guess, but I thought it was a bit of a stretch, unless...
United
KGingdom

Uk is a term of disgust?
Probably only for you weird northerners
-
-
I grew up in Cornwall and I've never heard that
-
Accuracy joke
Well...it could also have been some continuation of @Polygeekery's wrong country joke.
-
Why is my country labelled with a term of mild disgust?
.... the same one that's in your name?
-
-
not only am i the Sultanatrix of Swypos i'm also @accalia, destroyer of jokes.

That summarizes @xaade for me, pretty much. I still have absolutely no handle on when he's trolling, being sarcastic, or serious.
-
Re-titled appropriately. (I am included in that statement. I have no idea what this thread is even about. Apparently there's supposed to be weather or something though. And maybe Texas.)
-

@xaade is messing around with everyone's head again.
-
Evidently.

We in Texas are supposed to have consistently warm/hot weather by now. There was a cold snap earlier this week (a high temperature below 60F)..
-
Interesting. Yeah, we're kinda cold in Ohio for the time of year too...
-
I still have absolutely no handle on when he's trolling, being sarcastic, or serious.
When I find out, I will let you know.
-

Yeah, it added onto the ice caps.
Before you say it, I know that two years of expanding might not equalize 5 years of shrinking....
But I don't very much care about that.My main point is that the Nobel Prize is a good indicator that whatever you "did" to "earn" it, won't be relevant in 5 years.
-
You are aware the Daily Mail is to news what cyanide is to good health?
-
Depends on whether you need to breathe.

People that believe Al Gore or the daily mail for their science facts should probably quit science now.
News flash, Ice Cap coverage grows and shrinks. The overall trend over the last several decades is that it is shrinking, but due to the aforementioned fact, it can also be thicker now than 2 years ago despite that overall shrinking trend.
Al Gore is a sensationalist idiot that is really doing more harm than good to the credibility of climate change.

At least he'll protect us from ManBearPig; I hear he's super serial about it
