Imports (Was: {brace yourselves} the import is coming {Spoiler Alert: Not all of it} [i.e. blakeyrat was not utterly wrong for the first time ever] Filed under: append-only titles.)

Would have loved to play the game like it was a trip.
There are mods which let you do that, provided you eat the right “foods” in game.
-
If only there was a script that could do something like that…
Because there's no way that could go wrong? What is this script going to do, follow the link on the old forum, then go through every imported post looking for matching content so that it can be sure to put the URL to the right place in the new forum?
-
When I first saw that, I thought Shaun the Sheep was in the front seat…
-
So a post that contains nothing but quotes is empty, but a post which contains nothing but a quote and some crossreferences isn't.
-
Even better, a post with the > type of quote isn't empty

Does anyone else like bacon?
How could someone be like bacon? Like if somehow some smoked back meat somehow signed up for a new account and started posting..?
-
Of what? His retina?
He could use some filters to recreate the look and feel of it on a photo of the Lubar basement...
-
I have a mod that increases DR if you're drunk.
Very very useful.
I also hacked in me a hammer that sacrifices increased damage on crit for knockdown on crit.
Then I have the sprint mod, with the knockdown perk.
Lots of fun to watch people flying like I have fus ro dah in fallout.
-
I think I've actually posted pictures of my desk. I used to have an old CRT monitor that stopped working with a picture of Andy Griffith taped to it. Bonus points to whoever knows what that's a reference to.

Ooo, ooo, it's a reference to that one thread where you posted pictures of your desk.

Printer : Waaarrrrrggggghhhhh.

we say the sea is blue, but if you live inland you don't get to see it.
However, this would not apply to the Greeks. Greece was and is a seafaring nation of seacoasts and islands. Nearly all the centers of Greek culture were either on the coast or within a day or so's journey of the coast. While there may have been part of the population that lived in inland areas and never saw the sea, the culture (and thus the language) was very much aware of it.
-
Preeow.
-
That's why I'm more convinced it was an indication of reflection, and not color.

Bot idea: @BaconBot. When summoned, replies with 'I like bacon!'.
Disclaimer: Not an actual idea
-
Doo doo, da, doo do.
The system is down.
-
'I like bacon!'.
-
However, this would not apply to the Greeks.
But honestly, it's quite often that "blue" isn't a very good color to use to describe large bodies of water.

Or Hillary...
I'd love to see her singing that song.
Private _____ is good for hiding bad choices that leads to high ____ costs.
A) healthcare, personal
B) email, international.
-
Ok I'm turning off this thread now.
Offer still stands.

I'm still going with the idiots hypothesis...
-
Now I want to see a video of Hillary Clinton singing the system is down in the style of the tonight show Brian Williams remixes.
-
I'd agree with modern Greeks.
But I think ancient Greeks were at least a little smarter.
-
But modern Greeks would say the sky is blue, right?
-
Only because they are parroting someone else who figured that out..... in the past.
-
Bot idea: @JustToRecap which replies to topics with a summary of the derailments that topic has suffered.
-
But modern Greeks would say the sky is
bluefalling, right?FTFY, due to economic collapse.
-
To paraphrase a certain fox:
PR's accepted
-
Sounds like a dirty euphemism.
-
-
Exactly; why do you think I'm not taking it on?
-
I'm still going with the idiots hypothesis.
"Let me put it this way. Have you ever heard of Plato, Aristotle, Socrates?"
"Yes."
"Morons."
-
Just look for repeated keywords probably.
-
When I think about what I've accomplished I realized something.
People are definitely always smarter in the past, and they hope to once again be smarter in the future....
... but right now, they're all just plain dumb.
Which explains all the stupidity in the world.
-
Aristotle, possibly the only man who became famous as a great thinker...while simultaneously being wrong about everything.
-
Just look for repeated keywords probably.
Well, if you think it's simple… hint hint…
-
-
Aristotle, possibly the only man who became famous as a great thinker...while simultaneously being wrong about everything.
You're forgetting Pliny the Elder
-
Eh, I'd go one simpler: every 5 or 10 posts (depending on thread length), grep everything up to the first instance of [.!?] in the post and output in format:
[poster_name]: [first_sentence]

How dare you bring logic and reason in to our "pie in the sky" thinking?!

Sorry, I'm at work, left my QA hat on :)
Proceed~
-
You should definitely post pictures of your QA hat in the IRL thread.
-
Sorry, one pic per bad hair day XD
-
But if you had a hat, you could hide the bad hair ;)
I found these:
-
Poor QA on that one.
-
-
It's a possibility.
edit: Probably not though, considering it's not as bad when the image is full size.
