Gee, it'd be helpful if you sent me your scam with more than 0 week left before it expire!
-
@Yamikuronue I'm not totally convinced that this email title is not a direct quote from our Monday Twitch stream.

Who is WOMEN and what does they want ??? ??? !!! !!!

US Government apparently is having trouble with their subscribers!
I would like to unsubscribe from US Government!
Also, this email contains like 12 pages of newlines at the end with no other content. Are they trying to make people think this is the last message in their inbox?
-
it not spammer

The set of "worst things you can do" and the set of "worst things you can do if you're losing your hair" are almost identical.

I knew the budget cuts were bad, but I didn't think it would get to the point where the Federal Reserve Bank would need to sign up for a free Yahoo! email address.
-
Free bottle of WHAT? Internal bleeding? Lawsuits? Health alerts?
-
Oh dear, my account password! That's terrible!
It would be nice to know which account you're going to suspend, but I don't remember making an account for s4Qtkql7DxQE@s5e6ivvnsh44vwz.

This email is highly legit and I am highly going to go to jail because I copied it.
Also, it looks like Western Union has also fallen on hard times and was forced to sign up for free email addresses.

Some guy wants to send me $3.80 on behaf of UNITED NATION

That's okay. I wouldn't download a shoe anyway.

TIL Jesus sold viagra that cured diabetes, but did a bad job at it.

I have to admit, I'm impressed with the quality of this one:
So, how do I know it's phishing? Three reasons:
- I've never bought a humidifier in my life
- If I did, I'd buy one from Argos or Amazon, not eBay
- The dispatch address is my email address, and I'm pretty sure the technology doesn't yet exist that can email me a humidifier
Nice try, but you ain't fooling me.
-
@RaceProUK can you 3D print the parts?
-
It's a genuine eBay listing too:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/PureMate-PM-906-Digital-Ultrasonic-Cool-amp-Warm-Mist-Humidifier-with-Ioniser-/170911004096So, I can add a fourth reason I know it's phishing:
4. The item is on Buy It Now for £79.99, not £49.99

This is something that your parents really should have talked to you about.
-
@ben_lubar But they they only send you 30 cents, and that's when you realize that Benson Wood is a 500 foot tall crustacean from the paleolithic era
-
@RaceProUK Have you checked your PayPal (manually, of course, not through any links in the email)? If the Paypal email has your actual name it could be legit and someone may have actually done a thing on your Paypal account. It happened to me a couple years ago, although without any corresponding ebay link, just "You've sent $200 to xxxx"
-
@hungrier said in 📧 The Official Spam Emails Thread™:

It doesn't
-
@RaceProUK I thought it might since you censored it in the screenshot
-
@hungrier That's my email address ;)
-
@RaceProUK I'd probably still log in to paypal (real paypal) and check, just to be sure, though.
-
@anotherusername I did, and there's no matching transaction

For context, here's the Manchester City kit colours:
The left-most one is the revelant one.

when the other club colors match to close a different set should be used

@accalia said in 📧 The Official Spam Emails Thread™:

It's very rare that they need to use them

It might be a rhetorical question.
But either way, this message is from a trusted sender. It clearly says so!

Not only did First Texas Bank USA have to sign up for a free email address, they had to sign up for three of them from different providers, and they sent the email from their Italian address. You know. Texas. That place in Italy.
