Huh. Someone went to the trouble of fixing the topic titles, eh?
Ohhh...didn't remember you guys going at it over there...hmmm
The way I remember it, which may not be how it happened, was that he slagged me out of the blue and I decided I wasn't going to let him get away with it.
-
That name's amazing.

Responsibility has a strange way of sneaking up on you around here.
-

-
The name of the thread.
-
-
I wish I could see the title history, though. The history pencil is black, sadly.
-
That's only one of two, there was another one with a chemistry lab that they were bitching in too.
No more chance of that happening, though, due to FrostCat being on my ignore-tool
-
And the person who summoned them for the post that pushed them over the boundary.
That would be funny, though probably difficult to determine.
-
You're a tool, all right.
-
Ah. Yeah, @boomzilla hasn't responsibilitized it yet.
I've only done that once. And it was an @algorythmics title in that thread, 'cause the title was NSFW.
-
A friend of mine once had "the most notorious tool" as his title on one of those "inferiour"-than-discourse forums.
-
@accalia wants to know.... what was the title that was NSFW even for this forum?
-
I'm honestly surprised I made it into the 25% badge. I didn't think I posted that much in counted areas.
Ditto.
-

There was some concern because the title shows up in the URL, which some companies log.
-
ooooooh.
and thedailywtf.com isn't bad enough? </joke>

Ah, here we go. Man, it's a pain to go through old edits...

If you look at the top 10 query you'd see there was a massive difference between #1 and #10. Then someone made a graph, and it was a pretty typical power or log curve, or whatever you call the kind of curve it was typical of.
-
It was @FrostCat's gun thread that you were avoiding:
Rather weirdly, that one doesn't seem to be in my backup from this morning..
Right..that was @Rhywden's thread, but the chemistry stuff leaked over there. And @FrostCat only has 12 posts there:
But that one is...

and thedailywtf.com isn't bad enough
People who run filters aren't all that smart. I got griped at once for using hotmail. I was more than a bit disturbed to see one of the files described as "adult-related" when it was actually "advertising-related".
That could get you in extra trouble, but fortunately I was just not quite in trouble for actually using the internet at all, because the retail stores used the same 1.5MB connection out of Mexico to for the POS sale system and ERP system that the office/IT people used. Which was a major WTF.
-
I wasn't a fan of clicking that thread at work during these titles, either.

r195: The Likes Anal Thread: So it has come to this. (Do it right)

I was wondering what that was about, having not seen the previous version.

But which one, exactly?
"Consider replying to several posts at once"? F you, Atwood. If it was good enough for Usenet....

badevil ideas thread is elsewhere.FTFY

I'll find out in about 5 minutes...
Edit: Maybe more. I'm on a shit pub internet connection.
-
But which one, exactly?
I can't remember - it only shows the category on the 'Oh dear I can't connect' screen which only happens when Discourse is down to the point that it doesn't even get an error from nginx.
It might be 'Technology - Forums'.
-
and thedailywtf.com isn't bad enough? </joke>
I've referenced thedailywtf.com articles for my boss, and she heads up IT - operations AND security!
-
I can't remember...It might be 'Technology - Forums'.
I was hoping it might be a minor WTF of it's own: "Forums - sometimes not entirely unhelpful but you should still try not to get the crazy on you."
-
Oh hey, R195 was mine :<fuck you discourse>D

Kinky.
Since the result set is a bit long for this one...
-
Yowsa
-
Erm - quite.
Just wondering if I can wheedle some badges of some sort out of that query....
-
Seems like you'd have to figure out how to have people split a badge or something. I don't see how that would work. Unless one of the users is static. That seems like something no one here would bother abusing.
-
It really depends if @FrostCat will maintain his stamina because other than that, it's basically you and me.
-
indeed! we are the active of the active!
-
I have to admit I felt like @mikeTheLiar the other day, I logged in here after 2 days away to nearly 100 notifications.
-
I'm afraid to go that long anymore. I sometimes wake up to 30+.
Filed Under: Shut up! I can quit anytime I want!
-
"You have more than 10 notifications, here are only the most recent 10"
-
You can get to the rest of them, if you're the kind of person who can't leave unread messages behind.
-
I normally just go through the unread topics, although that doesn't help when I have notifications from Muted categories (like Bugs, for me).
-
Actually they did actually fix the 'older notifications' thing to do something intelligent. I was shocked, SHOCKED I tell you.

I didn't even notice that that was there.
At least you can see it, unlike most of the "features" here.

Yes, "Bugs" is a topic.

Well, it's been visible for some time but it just directed you to the activity tab, which was completely useless.
