If I ever start a band, I'm naming it REVERSED VICTORY HAND
Sounds like a prog rock band, or some sort of New Age thing ;)I've always thought 'Coriolis' would be a good band name…

The sort of dance that would only come out of European Dance music

It would seem that there is some love for it outside Europe, too.

t would seem that there is some love for it outside Europe, too.
True, but:
It originated in 1997 in Belgium but gathered bigger popularity in their neighboring country the Netherlands in the 2000s.
and
Jumpstyle, originally known simply as jump, was created in Belgium and started in 1997. It was a short-lived small genre that didn't gain popularity in its original form. However, it came back to the public during the turn of the century and fandom began increasing throughout Europe after undergoing significant changes in Germany in early 2003.

Why can't Europeans be making their own dances? Why they always got to be copying Americans?

Yes it is: I had to scroll up a bunch because I couldn't find it through search even though I knew it was there.

Somehow I got from that video to this one:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-F4CF-AfrhY
Apparently it's a cover of this.
You may want to listen to the cover (it's pretty good) but skip the original (it's... not for everybody).

When shit like this happens, people always say they want to shoot themselves (or whatever) to put themselves out of their misery.
No. This is the wrong response. You shoot the idiot, pour encourager les autres.

Continuing the discussion from 🎤 Song of the day 👂:
http://www.nerdcore.de/2015/04/06/ricky-syers-marionette-drummer/
From the thumbnail, it looked like someone had trained a monkey to play tiny drums. But then I looked at the article and it was an old man puppet. Turns out Marionette means Marionette in German and not Fancy Monkey Drum Set.
-
I feel it is necessary to point out that is not a marionette (at least according to the definition of the English word; I don't know the German definition); it is actually a rod puppet. A marionette is suspended and operated by strings:
The one in the video is clearly being manipulated by rigid rods.Filed under: One-time member of the San Francisco Bay Area Puppeteers Guild

I feel it is necessary to point out that is not a marionette
That was my first reaction when I watched it. Then I noticed the article was in German and assumed it had a different meaning.

Is it just me or there's a bit of Jacob's ladder inspired imagery in this video?

Irrelevant factoid of the day: I was at the concert where Mark Abrahamian (Starship's guitarist) died of a heart attack right after walking off stage at the end of the set. I saw the Life Flight helicopter come in but had no idea what actually happened until the next day.
Then, I later found out the mod kit I installed on my Marshall guitar amp was actually designed by him.
