Scrollbar Test Topic #1
-
Just ignore this topic.
-
Oooh, nice topic!
-
This should be over in one-post
-
-
You will have a hard time repro-ing the bug here because our NecroSuggestedTopics list is so long.
-
On the bright side, you get a nyan cat. Sort of.
-

No, I repro-ed in the sandbox with Ctrl-scrollwheel zoom-out. So suggested topics shouldn't come into the play.
-
When i use scroll-wheel-zoom-out, chrome auto-removes the scrollbars on me here.
So must be something in his CSS on the sandbox - maybe a scroll css forced on instead of auto.
-
Oh, look! A One-Post that didn't close automatically!
-
It was moved into One Post after it was made (in Meta). Moved topics don't get the auto-close.
They also keep whatever auto-tracking/watching/muted from the first category and not the moved-to category.
-
I think I'll just leave it to die... can't bring myself to close it.
-
.. and the rush (hah!) is on for 3 INB4 badges soon to be available to anyone who notices......
-
suckers!
-
My primitive human brain requires me to reply to this topic now, even though the higher analytical part realizes that the ~==~Badge~==~ goes to the last 3 posters in 6 hours.
-
Badge? Yes? No? What?
-
I believe it's code for the INb4 badges? But they don't count in this category? Dunno.
-
Guys, we can't get the badges for at least 4 hours.
-
So wait, last 3 posters?
We're gonna get a "one post" topic to like 500, won't we?

But they don't count in this category?
Ah. Point to Slytherin!
I shall rectify it...
Done.
-
So wait, last 3 posters?
...no... From the badges page:
Managed to get the
antepenultimatewhatever post within a minute of a topic auto-closing.So up to three badges. As little as zero.
-
I still stand by my original assessment.
-
And, apart from other posters, nothing stopping a single person getting all three...
-
Ah. Point to Slytherin!
I shall rectify it...
Done.
How did you know which house I was in?

But there can only ever be one antepenultimate post and not three! Until you consider handing out badges for the anteantepenultimate post and the anteanteantepenultimate post as well...Filed under: working on silver.

Anyway in 5 hrs time I'll be sleeping the sleep of the just (hopefully).

How did you know which house I was in?
Wild guess. Plus I don't think there'd be many Hufflepuff here.

Copy-Paste bug. Been hanging around DC too much...
Corrected.

Surely someone who describes themselves as TRWTF for weeks on end is probably one of the safety scissors and glitter crowd?

Filed under: my father shall hear of this!
That reminds me... apart from @Nagesh, another one we haven't heard of lately is @Voldemort .
-
True, true, but he was someone else's sock puppet this whole time. Maybe he was Nagesh's sock puppet.

within a minute of a topic auto-closing.
Wish I knew whether this topic is closer to 4 hours 1 minute or 5 hours 59 minutes from closing.

You called? I'd punish you now, but my wand is on the charger.

There are no socks. That damned house elf stole them all.

CBA to wait and look myself, but shouldn't that info be updated every now and then via an AJAX call? Since afaik the time of the post is transported as full datetime and mangled front side, perhaps the closing time is transported likewise?

You're trying to apply logic to Discourse again.

Now, that is what I call great service! Just one summons and the big wig appears!Erm... pint of Fraoch, please, and a shot of Clynellish!

Part of the fun of those badges...

I have dispached Nagesh with a... present... for you. Should arrive in 2-4 weeks. Depends on how fast the shipping container can float.
-
Do I get a badge for noticing your balls went brown within however many moon minutes it takes Discourse to update them?
-
The worst part is how terrible that timer really is, now that I know when this actually closes.... UGH.
From what I saw, I believe it does a ceiling function on the time difference, so
4 hours 1 minute = in 5 hours.
5 hours 1 minute = in 6 hours.I hate you Dicsourse.

No problem, I like India Pale Ale as well!
-
It makes no sense since after the time gets down far enough under 1 hour, it probably shows minutes, which would mean the range for which is shows 1 hour remaining is probably pitifully small.
-

No badges for stalking me, no.

4 hours 1 minute = in 5 hours.
5 hours 1 minute = in 6 hours. It slices, it dices, if floors, it ciels, but with it's patented anti-rounding technology, it will always keep you guessing!
Order Discourse today for low-low price of your sanity!
-
Just as I suspected. Somewhere around 45+ minutes -> 1 hour = in 1 hour
and following the rest of the ceiling logic, 1 hour 1 minute = in 2 hours
Wonder if it tries to do more fudging between 1 to 2 hours to make it show "1 hour" for more than 15 minutes?"created_at":"2014-07-30T15:57:38.147-04:00","cooked":"suckers!"
