The Backup Likes Thread - Because it's not the same, now with semi(?)-mandatory likes and questions?
-
I thought it was you.
-
Why is it still this bad even after topic was locked? I get 504 Gateway timeout every 5 seconds without touching anything.
-
Because Discourse likes me
-
Did we really need to revive both**emphasized text backup like threads?
Wait. Don't answer that.

Yes.
Wait. Don't answer that.
But I want to.
-
Probably not. This one will die again soon. But, then, who am I to judge?
Ha. Not when you invited us over from t/1000!
And this thread likes to
-
That was what, a year ago? And it did die. For a while.
-
I missed this one before. But now I'm all caught up...
-
-
-
And it did die. For a while.
It got a bit of love the last time primary topic was closed.

It got a bit of love

-
I bet it would Jeff.
-
Wow.
-
No-one logs out though, right?
-
Now that I'm at home I can finally log in to meta, office IP is banned.
-
This seems a bit ironic.
-
The notification bubble has always been a bit retarded. But since it used to have its own button / dropdown...
-
Yeah, just another thing JeffCo™ didn't think about when making their change.

I bet it would Jeff.
Now made a part of my user card:
-
No-one logs out though, right?
Wasn't there something about logging out being the only way for admins to stop impersonating another user? :P
-
Yeah, just another thing JeffCo™ didn't think about when making their change.
Are you implying that thinking ever occurs at JeffCo™?

Yes. And the same issue was reported there too - if you impersonate someone you dismiss their notifications when you log out.
Apparently you're not supposed to impersonate users so it causing a bit of pain is by design.

Not intentionally.

Jeff doesn't do Irony. Ironing maybe but Irony, no.
-
I know it's a standard and automatic welcome to all newcomers, but I still can't help feeling it's a tiny bit ironic juxtaposed with "You are no longer welcome here" suspension reasons.
-
So an admin impersonating a user screws the notifications? I guess read counts are already screwed by this feature ...
-
Didn't we already establish that this is a silly feature?
-
Yeah but you're not supposed to actually use the feature they built in, so it doesn't matter. Or something Discological.
-
-
Screw that!

Holy fuck, 14 month necro reply.

Holy fuck, 14 month necro reply.
I started reading this topic yesterday and I felt I had something relevant to add to that post

There's opportunity to upgrade the skill to "True Resurrection".
-
Now I wonder if anyone tried to resurrect a CS thread from 2008 or something.

Everybody hates the backup plan

Yeah, people seem to prefer the backup-backup thread.
-
They are both pretty much dead.

Yeah, I don't have time for any other threads and I don't even actively participate, just read that one.
