Ugh. I don't think I'm up to work today. Fortunately, I woke up with a sore throat so I feel justified in calling in sick.
And tomorrow you have an interview you will get out for all the morning, great IT work ethics
-
@accalia I'm not 100% sure, but I think they have denyhosts set up to get really shirty if you have a certain small number of connects where you didn't then successfully log in.
-
-
@dse I wish, I'm really sick of this commute.
I'm calling in sick because of sore throat, but I also look out the window and see rain, which adds like 20-25 minutes to my commute.

Eh. I don't think anyone cares that status.tsaukpaetra.com appears offline for a while. Just makes it difficult to test that my IIS bindings are correct is all... (I made do with an entry in
hosts
for now. Also, I think my router might be ignoring ttl? who knows...)You have an AD domain, so you must have an internal DNS. Why don't you use that?

Enjoying the tears of Cruz, his supporters, and the Never Trumpers. Deeeeeeee-licious. Not that I'm saying that Trump is the Second Coming of Our Lord and Savior, mind - but the Republican establishment has needed its balls kicked repeatedly and fiercely for several decades now, and Trump has been delivering.
I don't understand how anyone puts Cruz in the Establishment bucket. I mean, sure, he's an elected Senator, but he's spent most of his time waging his own crusades and pissing off the establishment. That was one of the major things I liked about him.

Establishment bucket
A president is, by definition, part of the establishment. Why would we want a president that opposes his own job?

I can't tell if you're serious or not, but since you're too young to have your own , I'll respond like you're serious.
Once he's President, he's leader of the establishment, though maybe everyone else jumps ship at that point. Before then, maybe, maybe not. Cruz for certain is not part of the GOP Establishment. The leaders (and many back benchers) pretty universally dislike him, largely because he doesn't follow their lead.
Your comment (to possibly explain the joke) confuses temporal changes (possibly for humorous purpose) in something to make an apparent contradiction.

Because.... I don't need to know if external connectivity to my domain is working while I'm inside the domain? It's going to be very obvious, and I'll likely not be asking the status page (which, essentially, hooks into the uptimerobot API, an internet-based service anyways).
No, I set up the domain rather stupidly, where the inside of the domain is the same as outside it (I was going to try and get IPv6 working, but decided it was a much worse idea in the end).
status.tsaukpaetra.com is supposed to let me know of the connectivity of my various sites (of which I have only two), If I can't get to it while inside the domain, it's almost certainly going to say "Everything's down zomg!" anyways... ;)
Edit: for clarity.

@FrostCat I mean, being someone who's actually been elected, he's more GOP establishment than Trump (or any other Democrat for that matter).
-
@boomzilla Sure, but that's not actually what "Establishment" means in this context. John Boehner is in the dictionary under that word. Cruz, not being a go along to get along kind of guy, isn't really, or Cryin' John wouldn't have called him the devil.
In fact, "is this person a go along to get along kind of person" is probably a pretty darn good rule of thumb. As is so often the case, having one word bear more than one meaning is a difficulty here. Perhaps Ben can enlighten us on a couple of lojban words that would delineate the two meanings, not that we'd use them in the future, not that that stops him.

Comment from reddit.
Now he can get back to his true passion; killing hookers at truck stops, dismembering their bodies, stuffing them into boxes, and throwing the box off a bridge.

Too bad Sanders couldn't knock out that hag on the democrat side. This way, she's guaranteed to be the next president.

Someone really likes timestamps for build IDs, I guess. Nothing (much) to see here.

@dkf They're maven releases! The release metadata already has the timestamp!!

@JazzyJosh Yes? Since when did uselessness ever stop anyone from doing anything?

So they could be said to be acting antidisestablishmentarianistically?

Status: Really digging the Danger Mouse remake Netflix made.
It's legit made me laugh out loud at least once an episode.
EDIT: I will say the creators of the show seemed to think Penfold screaming was really really funny and he does it like 6 times an episode and it's kind of annoying.
EDIT: Also the episode that introduces King Kong Brunel comes after an episode where they use him as an established villain so that's a bit weird.
This shit's hilarious.
