would never suggest I was ever a proficient wielder of the Wit.
Presumably, one would need to possess a full wit to wield it proficiently, not merely a fraction of of one.
I'm not saying this is the reason you are not proficient, but if the shoe fits, ...

I have encountered many half-wits, and less, that are very comfortable wielding what they have to great effect.
Great as in size, not as in a statement of objective or even subjective positivity as to the outcome, you understand.
I have heard it said that “little things please little minds, bigger fools look on, waiting for their turn”. I am waiting for my turn, whereupon I might get to wield the Wit for a bit, to please my mind.

There's a lot of play on that theme but like this one, most of them get it wrong.
Despite what it said, the ticket was a ticket (at least I guess so). Not the picture of a ticket (though your post does contain a picture of it...) or a representation or only some characteristics of a ticket. There is no function of a ticket that you couldn't perform with this piece of paper.

But the picture on the ticket was not the ticket...
-
@dkf if the text on the ticket referred to the picture on the ticket, then "it" definitely wasn't a ticket.
-
@remi as text in the painting refers to the picture of the pipe, so does the text on the ticket.
-
@boomzilla Fair enough, I guess, for / purposes.
But! the text may be correct under that assumption, but it is still missing the point of the original painting.
-
@remi welcome to jokes!

@boomzilla but... but... that's not funny?

@Tsaukpaetra Trek redshirts win with 10% losses based on numbers of redshirts lost in TOS. If accompanied by TOS yellow shirts this number is likely to go to around 16% losses.
That said, we can assume at least one trooper is going to be Double… Fist… Punched… and/or Launch… Kicked by the universe’s very own James… T… Kirk…

@Mason_Wheeler I figured there had to be enough characters and enough people dressing up as those characters to make this work:

In the math expression convention, who's locked up in the bathroom?
The exponential. It makes an effort to integrate, but it can't change.
