:fa_eye: The Official Lurkers' Thread™
-
We can make a run over the border together!
-
People from around these here parts are coming out of the woodwork it would seem. If we get a few more we should get our own section on the forums!
And then we can stop with the English, @cartman82 could switch to cyrilic, and @ender could start writing in Slovenian, and then nobody would properly understand anyone!
Which would be no change from a regular
conversationdiscourse on TDWTF, really.

Howdy, long time lurker (been reading since it pretty much started) - posted once a long time ago (when the Daily WTF was the only place I could turn) - http://forums.thedailywtf.com/forums/p/4485/102686.aspx#102686. Since I'm not a massive forum user I've not emerged because of the Discourse debate - just because it's about time I actually started talking to people.

I like the fact that the switch to DC has bought some of the lurkers out of the woodwork. :-)
I'm more active because I'm finding it easier to stay up to date with threads without having to take so long wading through threads looking for replies. The notification area means it takes a lot less time to catch up on things.
I don't always have time to read through everything, although it would be nice if I did.

What about you, Nagesh, wouldn't an Indian developer make a lot of money in America?
no. not a lot.

If not as a developer, why not go over with your patented comedy stylings? I'm pretty sure you'd be a hit!

I never said - video. I said audio. I will record next time I am doing one. Hearing to my voice is one thing, but seeing me in person will instantiate strong feelings of self hatred.

Quoted from wikianswers...
Certain disabilities which will defiantly affect this control are; Downs Syndrome Cerebral Palsy Speech In pediments Dyslexia/Dispraxia Deafness/Blindness
Using a semi-colon to start a list, spelling definitely as defiantly, spelling impediments as in pediments... I think we see enough reasons in that sentence alone to not listen to any answer that person ever gives on any topic.

That will get you on right frame of mind.

It's rather ironic that in a thing about barriers to reading are very
defiantdefinite barriers to reading.
-
The worst part... there are 4 results on google for "Speech In pediments". And not even joke results.
Filed Under: Apparently those schools can't afford English classes either.
Although most probably consider the 4chan /pol/ forum to be a joke in and of itself.

It's so cute watching people who aren't clever enough to use language properly fight on behalf of those who wish they had had the chance to actually learn it properly in the first place.

I am taking objection to this statement.
-
You're welcome.
What I mean though is that you have these people that are bleeding heart sympathisers for 'it's so terrible that these people never learned to speak properly' without realising that they can't do so themselves but feel that they were privileged enough in the first place, which sort of says a lot about them.
-
bleeding heart sympathisers
I don't think they're bleeding heart anythings, they're just stupid.

There's a difference now?
Actually, there is now that I think about it. I've noticed that historically there have been stupid ideas that are only adopted by people above a certain level of intelligence and education. Cultural Marxism is a good example of this. My theory is that you mainly see it in otherwise intelligent people because you have to be smart to do dialectics.

If you can't speak English, can you at least speak American please?
-
Gros bissous,

The official language of the United Kingdom of England, Wales, Northern Ireland and That-Which-Shall-Not-Be-Named would be English, of course.
-
Great! Then we can kick out these Walloons once and for all! (Oh, look there it was).
