🙅 THE BAD IDEAS THREAD

Huh?
-

Being defrocked in that profession is like loosing your license for an engineer isn't it? In theory you can still do work in the field, but finding an employer is going to be problematic. I can understand fighting against that (though I bet she loses).
-
I imagine it varies a lot from church to church. But...if you are explicitly disavowing the things the church supposedly stands for...
"I'm a leader of the local NRA, but I think no one should own guns."
"I run the local NAACP, and I think black people should be lynched."Allen concedes the issue has the potential to cause disunity in the United Church, which prides itself on tolerance for diversity and inclusiveness.
“What we don’t want is to limit the scope of beliefs within the church, and yet what was being questioned here was: Has she gone too far?” Allen said.
It's like the old joke about being so open minded that your brain falls out.

Even more huh, I read that as:
Atheist minister fighting United Church's effort to set fire to her

Not being careful about where you choose to sit
-
or stand
-
There is someone standing out a ways that the bike pulls up to, why didn't they warn her? When setting things like that up, you make sure to yell at people if they go were they aren't supposed to be.

They certainly got enough rope to hang themselves, hehe.

...that's not a cursive o... they end at the top of the letter for that exact reason

I was behind a people-carrier yesterday with 'VolkSWAGen' emblazoned on the hatch.
If there's people in the world that would do that maybe they would also advertise their love of...rope.

Rope is a special kind of ebbil.

A couple have been fined for their "particularly revolting behaviour" in carrying out a sex act during a crowded BBC Radio 2 concert in Hyde Park.
[...]
Judge Charles Wide QC said Lisanne Beck, 47, and her boyfriend Simon Murphy, 48, had no one but themselves to blame for ending up in the dock at the Old Bailey. He noted the matter could have been dealt with in a magistrates' court or by them accepting a caution. So far, so meh...
The bad idea (apart from having sex in public where people can video you of course) is it ended up in course because
- they refuse to accept a simple caution
- thus electing to go to court
- and denying it happened (despite it being filmed as noted above)
The 'revolting' bit here being it being done in public, not what was being done, of course. They got fined + costs of £2,750 each
But...
Murphy did not give evidence at the trial but told officers in a police interview that he was completely unaware of anything improper happening.
I think she needs more practice if he was that unaware...

Blatant advertorial:
Fitbit is known for selling fitness trackers to consumers, but the company also sees its fortunes in the enterprise market.
“We think virtually every company will incorporate fitness trackers into their corporate wellness programs,” Fitbit CFO Bill Zerella said Tuesday.Fitbit has what Zerella called the largest database of biometric data in the world, but the company won’t sell that information to outside companies.
MRD... but I'd be repeating myself.

A Top Thai Tattoo Artist Who Said His Tattoos Conferred Invincibility Has Been Murdered
-
Yeah well, he said "invincibility", not "invulnerability".
-
-
Presumably he didn't tattoo himself.

Yeah well, he said "invincibility", not "invulnerability".
Actually, being a Thai tattoo artist, I suspect he said neither.

"NOT. SAFE. ANYWHERE. EVER." is a strict subset of NSFL – think of the undead.
-
-
Microagression! I think you mean differently alive.
You're right, I'm differently right.
I think we're lucky the word "differently" isn't considered differently politically correct yet.
Edit: btw, IMHO, total political correctness fits perfectly in this thread.
-
"NOT. SAFE. ANYWHERE. EVER." is a strict
subsuperset of NSFL – think of the undead.FTFY
For that matter, think of those in an afterlife.

What about those who live outside of spacetime?

What about those who live outside of spacetime?
Well, then we need a superset for NSAE. Something like NSUAACoNC-WoWTP.

Bad idea: my mom is watching a crime drama where the plot is that someone hacked into a website and used a "hotmail injection attack" to put "fraudulent ads" on the site and somehow that's causing something about biological warfare.

Ok, fancy name for spam?

Which contains an ad hijacker. Weird wording, but OK, I guess...
