Internet Explorer 11 is clearly not a modern browser - even Microsoft recognizes that!

  • I was hopping about on the Azure website... when I came across this
The div it's placed in has a class "old-browser-note". Oh the irony.

  • Could not reproduce. Are you sure you don't have it set in "compatibility mode" or however it's called?

  • Only launched IE 11 once before today since installation - and that was to download Chrome. Azure wasn't in the compatibility websites list, and when I returned to that page a few hours later it was fixed. Quick web devs working at Microsoft who also happen to read TDWTF?

A few months ago I noticed a weird font rendering problem with Firefox. I tried installing the newest version and it seemed to be OK at first but the problem came back. Same thing with the next release of Firefox. Them I found this:

Firefox font rendering suddenly started to "fall apart"?

Yesterday's Windows Update introduced an update
to prepare for IE10 being available on Windows 7, and it's apparently
causing problems with Firefox's display rendering. If you go to
about:config in Firefox and filter for gfx.content.azure.enabled and set it to 'false', then restart Firefox, you should avoid this problem.

So the problem was caused by Microsoft, but, it seems Firefox has ignored the problem for almost a year.
