Do planets count as "stars" for Shabbat purposes? What if it's cloudy and you can't see any stars?
What about other kinds of stars? Movie stars? Rock stars? Porn stars?
If I play a sufficient amount of a 3D Mario game, do I get to end Shabbat early?

The rules are usually more precise than that. Specifically, it's based on a few specific stars and then a window is calculated from that (using geometry). So it's "these 3 stars would be visible, given no obstructions, etc.
