Bots catching up with old posts in t/1000 make it hard to find actual replies.
-
@accalia @riking bots should be rate limited when they're in "catch up" mode. Spread out the backlog while handling new requests first.

@sockbot has like binge rate limits (thanks to me)

Oh, I thought @HardwareGeek was talking about replies.

How did your post help me? Other than making me angry and wasting my time? I'd love to hear an explanation of what help I have received here.
Karma.
-
Why are you people yelling at me instead of the network administrator who has a broken server?
Because you haven't provided us with an email address or phone number. Give me the latter and I'll yell at him for you. I won't even mention your real name. I might even yell at him about other things.
-
>Status: a project taking 45+ seconds to build and run is a real productivity killer. Sheesh.
Which doesn't sound like very long
I have this one remote server I have to work with sometimes at work that's behind some slow network somewhere. Every time I save a file that's located on it, it takes 5-30 seconds.

2193.2 seconds of 50fps video. 235391617 bytes of 50fps video. Not sure at what point the well room got filled with water.
You could watch the video from the start until the well started to fill up, and find out.
-
it would be my 23rd wedding anniversary
Every time I read something like this, and realize I've been married for longer than people who are older than me, it's weird. (My 25th is coming up in May, because I got married young.)
-
To be honest, I'm pretty sure it happened because an angry dwarf punched a lever or something else I couldn't control. The cistern looks fine except that both floodgates are open at the same time.
The video is now 325,632,921 bytes and is 95464.28 seconds long.

That certainly seems plausible.I can only conclude that you are using a different definition of "plausible" than any I am familiar with.
-
It's more plausible than you think.

Oh, I thought @HardwareGeek was talking about replies.
I think he's talking about notifications; when @sockbot bots like binge, they can generate quite a few

Like 50 in a row, which kind of pushes other notifications out of view.

all my bots that are following that topic are already caught up. ;-)
i don't plan on adding more to like that topic.

The only bot doing catch-up should be @NetBot

The Brewer hacks The Stray Dog in the lower body with her (-silver battle axe-) and the severed part sails off in an arc!
Zas Kûbukmis, Brewer has calmed down.
Zas Kûbukmis, Brewer: Death... This is truly horrifying.HOW IS THIS FORT STILL NOT DEAD?

Status: Back. Not even drunk. Might be because all my closest friends are fucking nerds.
In an off chance you're reading this: I love you all. But you're still fucking nerds.
-
I'm a nerd and I drink all the time. I'm drinking right now. Fuck you.

Well, I drank, but not enough, Still sober. Mostly. And I didn't want to be that one jerk who gets drunk and ruins everybody's shit.
Fuck you.
I love you too.
-
Agreed. There are 80 gallons of beer in this house right now, of which 5 varieties are currently on tap. And I'm not even counting bottles. There is an adequate amount of drunkenness in this game of Diplomacy.

Somehow my code assigned 12 sets of equipment to this dwarf:
-
nerd an drunk aren't mutually exclusive.
in my experience the science nerds i know are almost alcoholics. (maybe it's only here. IDK)

22:40 < Vendan> well, if anything hits him in the upper body, all those weapons are gonna f*** them up
22:41 < BenLubar> if he loses an axe he has 10 more strapped to his torso
22:42 < Vendan> it's like someone built a weapon trap full of axes onto him

I hate the taste of alcohol. I tried to drink a beer once and couldn't finish it.
-
Y'all are making me want a beer, and it's 10am.

Beer is an acquired taste. Like coffee, pickles, etc. Nobody "naturally" likes the taste of beer. (Beer is also very strongly flavored and usually 5% or less alcohol content, so I'm guessing whatever flavor you didn't like wasn't the flavor of alcohol. You can barely taste that in beer. Probably hops, which are super-bitter.)
Try a mudslide. Even a baby infant child spawnling would love alcohol in that form.

Kahlua, vodka and Baileys, shaken with ice and served on ice? (But then again I'm rather fond of a straight whisky… ;))
-
Mudslides are nice. As are White Russians (even if a little more strongly flavoured).
I went to a bar the other day where the only cocktails were variations of White Russian - absolutely lovely.
-
Agree. Lagavulin any day.
then at least you'll know why you do not like alcohol.

Or @anonymous234 could try a fruit beer like
-
Mulled wine could also be an option.
-
Raspberry beer is lovely.
So's strawberry, in small enough quantities. Gets a bit sickly if you have too much though.
-
Maybe a nice chocolate-y brown ale, too.
-
Heathens! You reminded me of what used to be called "redneck grog" where I grew up: take a sip of vodka and a sip of 7up, mix it in the mouth. If you don't have any 7up, that's ok too.

Right click video file -> open with -> select default program -> MPC-HC
Noting happens. Try again, same results. Well I'm not in the mood for troubleshooting, I'll just watch it with Windows Media Player.
7 minutes later, MPC appears .

The People behind the Product? As opposed to all the products that just magically materialize one night?
Or do they mean the product is more important than the people? I mean, I get that, I'm pretty sure that's the way it goes, really, but don't put it as your slogan you idiots! Pretend at least!

I think they meant:
The People Behind The Times - Since 1989

MPC-HC is an extremely light-weight, open source media player for Windows®.
But it's extremely light-weight! And open source programs are always cram-packed with quality!
EDIT: OMG it can also be used as a DVB player, that's the best fea-- what the fuck is a DVB?
