April fools CSS
-
Looks like I have some "fun" to look forward to tomorrow...
-
me steals @accalia's code and adds it to her Tampermonkey
-
@Choonster no repro :/
e: nvm, it's not the first here. d'oh

How will anyone see it if I take it off?
It was a simpler time, back then. We didn't have the Quotes Out of Context thread.
-
@accalia said in April fools CSS:
ah. thank you.
greasemonky/console fix for it then:
fuckAprilFools=()=>$('html[data-current-month="4"][data-current-day-of-month="1"]').attr('data-current-day-of-month', 2);setInterval(fuckAprilFools, 1000);
Setting up an "interval" seems wasteful. Couldn't you just override the rule?
Adding a
style
attribute tohtml
should do the trick, as it should trump the stylesheet.

That would require replicating the CSS in question, and reversing each change. On the other hand, the JS does that in one line of code.

After looking the screenshot I still have a feeling like if it were all still tilted

html[data-current-month="4"][data-current-day-of-month="1"]
Actually, never mind. The rules include the
html[data-current-month="4"][data-current-day-of-month="1"]
selector, but they apply to a lot of other elements.
-
html[data-current-month="4"][data-current-day-of-month="1"] .votes { -webkit-transform: rotate(180deg); transform: rotate(180deg); display: inline-block }

This thread's reappearance confused me because I don't see anything unusual. And then I looked at the calendar.

HELLO!
Do you like them? they're quite pretty if i do say so myself.
-
Some more "fun" if you want to apply it yourself:
@keyframes spinflip { 0% {transform: rotate(0deg);} 48% {transform: rotate(0deg);} 50% {transform: rotate(180deg);} 98% {transform: rotate(180deg);} 100% {transform: rotate(360deg);} } span.votes { animation: 10s spinflip infinite; display: inline-block; }

So I haven't been paying much attention but I can't tell if this is an @accalia alt or an exceptionally clever bot.
-
/me is trying to decide if that is an insult or a compliment
-
@Perverted_Vixen I still can't tell.

Pretty sure it is, as well.
How will you know it's april fools if the website isn't tilted, after all?

I'm pretty sure it's an alt.

We (verbally) say: "April 4th, 2016". That's just how American English works. We don't say "4th April, 2016" like you gross Euro-nerds.
So you celebrate Independence Day on April 7th?
It's the difference between "
July 4thApril 1st" and "the4th1stofJulyApril".

@hungrier I just made it more confusing and dangerous to vote
@keyframes spinflip { 0% {transform: rotate(0deg);} 48% {transform: rotate(0deg);} 50% {transform: rotate(180deg);} 98% {transform: rotate(180deg);} 100% {transform: rotate(360deg);} } span.votes { animation: 7s spinflip infinite; display: inline-block; } span.votes > a { animation: 3s spinflip infinite; display: inline-block; }

Why half-ass it?
@keyframes spinflip { 0% {transform: rotate(0deg);} 50% {transform: rotate(180deg);} 100% {transform: rotate(360deg);} } span.votes, span.votes a, span.post-tools, span.post-tools a { display: inline-block; } span.votes { animation: spinflip 3s step-start infinite; } span.votes [component$="count"] { animation: spinflip 6s step-start infinite; } span.votes a[component$="upvote"] { animation: spinflip 5s step-start infinite; } span.votes a[component$="downvote"] { animation: spinflip 7s step-start infinite; } span.post-tools { animation: spinflip 5s step-start infinite; padding-left: 3px; } span.post-tools a { animation: spinflip 5s step-start infinite; } .composer .btn-group { animation: spinflip 5.9s step-start infinite; } .composer .btn-group button { animation: spinflip 5.9s step-start infinite; }

ď Works just as intended, I meant to discard.
