Blacherat?
No, that's Che with crudely-drawn Mickey Mouse ears, because I couldn't find the t-shirt with the picture of his bloated face from when the Revolution caught up to him. Believe you me, he wasn't as photogenic then.

If it makes you happier, out of being plastered over a t-shirt sold all over the world for profit, or having mickey mouse ears crudely pasted him, I don't know which Che would have hated more. Given that he was a nasty terrorist, I'm not too worried about working it out. Spin in your grave, scum!

+1. I'm glad I never had to run into someone wearing that stupid artsy shirt so I didn't have to ruin their day explaining what a vile person he was.

@FrostCat Why is a 10000 word legal document in the Funny Stuff thread?

You don't find courts slapping down lower courts for egregiously stupid rulings funny?

it is presumptuous to tell Caetano she should have been ready to shoot the father of her two young children if she wanted to protect herself. Courts should not be in the business of demanding that citizens use more force for self-defense than they are comfortable wielding." (emphasis in original).
It's very dangerous to judge sincerity. There is not one right that is determined yours only if you are sincere in keeping it. That's why all these restroom situations are going to blow up, even if people get what they think they want.
"I'm sorry sir, I don't believe you are a sincere enough trans."
You either have the right, or you don't.
It's the court's job to defend your rights, not yours.

States Rights and all that BS
States have the right to make laws that fit within the national Constitution. If the federal government wants to rein in a state, and the state is operating within the Constitution, they should have to amend the federal constitution, not re-interpret it. The point of amendments is to require a large group of people to agree, not to reduce the amount that agree to 5 out of 9.
So, absolutely, the states have rights.
-
@xaade The 10th Amendment is the most easily forgotten one.

-
@JazzyJosh Same people who think that the UN should have the final say.
-
If it comes down to Hillary or Trump.... the result won't matter.
They are both windsocks when it comes to what they say, but they both support liberal policies when no one is looking.

That is clearly not true in cases of, say, imminent self-defense. No burglar's going to wait while you call the cops.

If the federal government wants to reign in a state
I think the word you are looking for there is “rein”. Reigning in a state means something else entirely.
-
I need to clarify.
I meant, during due process or while interpreting law, it's the court's job to defend your rights. Now, it's ultimately your own responsibility, which is why you get a lawyer, or appeal, or whatever. But part of the court's integrity is recognizing the rights of the parties involved.

Like this one?

@Polygeekery I preferred this one

@DogsB I posted that one.
Also, NodeBB does a hell of a lot better job embedding Twitter links.

Just so you are aware...I am going to start using those words wrongly. For future reference, I am going to do so just to annoy you and @HardwareGeek.

@xaade Bill Clinton, first man.

That's OK. It just amuses me a lot that the US was founded (partially) on a rejection of reigning.
I am very easily amused by trivial things.

I really should stop posting Ken M stuff

You're an idiot, Ken.
If you say it a bit different, it works for everyone:
You're an idiot; ken?
ken
verb (SCOTTISHNORTHERN ENGLISH)- know.

It's like a visual metaphor for Discourse.
I can imaging it now, in Jeff's civilised construction company...
I've got a bug with my new house, the driveway doesn't lead to the garage
Based on my experience, I have never -- literally, as in "has never happened" -- seen anyone using a garage on any housing developments we've worked on. And I have looked at hundreds.
But wouldn't the garage be more useful if the driveway actually led to it?
Sorry, no longer welcome here.

I work remotely with a team in another country. I was just selected to work in parallel with the one guy that refuses to use the form of instant communication available to us, Skype. I'm not blaming anyone in particular. It's one of those perfect storms that I, myself, am contributing to, as well as IT, etc. I can completely understand refusing to use certain software... for reasons...
but... Hilariously unproductive times ensue.
I'm in one of those situations where the most productive I can be... is reading code.
It brings back the memories of the first company I worked for. When the power would go out and both the backup generators failed, we would be relegated to reading old print-outs of years old versions of the source code.
