Want to use a 21yo OS in your browser? Now you can!

(The site seems to be suffering cooties as of posting)
-
I tried it the other day - when I launched IE 3.0 the whole thing crashed so I gave up
-
Probably so popular the site has become unresponsive. Clearly, this is proof that Windows 10 isnβt what people want
Though if I have a need to work with Windows 95, I just fire up one of my VMs with it.

Want to use a 21yo
Yes!
OS in your browser?
...oh.

There has been numerous JavaScript emulators that can run x86 stuff, including this one also with Win95:

So nothing new here, I don't understand how Win95 on DosBox is a new thing suddenly. DosBox has been compiled to run on JS for a long time already.

While users report various bugs with the emulated version of Windows 95, such as Internet Explorer crashing
Is this even a bug? It seems to be replicating the behavior I so fondly remember.

Awe darn, tried to set the Resolution (which triggered a reboot). Apparently halting the CPU doesn't properly reboot the VM on this version of DOSbox...

When you can run Dwarf Fortress with DFHack in a browser, I'll be interested.

I recommend you try this: https://jamesfriend.com.au/pce-js/
There's no Apple tax involved.
