  • @SpectateSwamp said:

    Download the original video and start looking at 52.26 in the lower right hand corner. thru till 53.07 The tobacco leaf flyer goes up the the clouds.

    There are a number of other fly-bys that the leaf does. The first one took place in .05 seconds. Come on somebody else look at this leaf with your video editors.

    I'm afraid you didn't take into account that planet Earth has what the scientists call an atmosphere, which is basically a layer of various gases that surround this planet. You may be confused because most (over 99%) of the planet's atmosphere is nitrogen and oxygen, both of which are transparent and colourless. Earth's atmosphere is also subject to various sort of flow phenomena, some of which can be very localised and powerful, especially near the surface of the planet. Many of these flow phenomena are extremely easy to observe, however; the good news for you may be that there may be even previous research on this field, because in ancient times, atmospheric motions of light objects such as leaves were often observed by scientists to study and predict the workings of the atmosphere.

    I haven't yet seen your video - we'll see if I eventually get around to watching it, it's such a giant file. However, I can analyse your statements and the pictures provided. I am not sure there will be anything out of ordinary in the video, however, based on your comments and the pictures alone.

    Your images seem to be consistent with a flow phenomena that are often called wind, a flow of atmospheric gases that is generally parallel to the ground. Surprising motions in directions that are not parallel to the ground are often caused by heat-related convection: In daytime, ground is disproportionately heated due to different types of surface, which causes varying amounts of updraft. While these updrafts are generally not discernible to most humans, who have rather high mass and are generally unaffected by many weaker flow phenomena, they may have surprising effects on lighter objects, such as leaves.

  • Cloaked intruder. Spotted

    I did the following screen reshoot so I could show the action to people

    http://video.google.ca/videoplay?docid=-2491448387537557028

     The 2 specks that circle each other happens at 1:05:26 in the original video

    the cloaked artifact is about the size of your fingertip and moves slowly from left to right on the screen. To see it you need to play it back at normal speed from about 50 seconds in through 1min and 10 seconds. One of the specks comes very close to it.

    So you will need some software to see the tiny ones. My program does a wonderful job. Doesn't it.

    Most of you have been looking at screens too long. Your eyes get weak doing that.

    Birds, bats or similar would easily account for the black blobs you are pointing out, either poor resolution or compression artifacts (or probably both combined) would result in the poor detail.

    No your software doesn't do a wonderful job, it can't even display video without using media player behind the scenes. Therefore all anyone would need to use is media player.

    Perhaps you should learn about parallax, distances, and other three-dimensional phenomena.

    Assume there's 3 people on the same side of a street block. One standing on each corner, and the third standing in the middle of the street, then from the point of view of either corner person, the other two people will APPEAR to be touching. But in reality they're 50 or more meters apart.

    Just because you see an insect come close to a video artifact on your screen doesn't mean they "touched". The insect existed wherever you shot the video, the artifact exists only in your video, so they never touched, because one doesn't really exist.

    Besides, do you think the Galactic Overlords would come all this way and hide in the sky in cloaked ships, but decide to save a few bucks and buy the Walmart discount version of the cloaking device so people like you could see them? Rather stupid of them.

    @SpectateSwamp said:

    No, it doesn't do video at all. It's Windows Media Player doing all the heavy lifting of decoding/displaying the video. Claiming that SSDS does video because you use MCIsendstring to tell Windows to play a video is like claiming you personally moved 5 tons of dirt and rock, when in reality it was the Bobcat you rented to excavate a hole. All you did was push a lever and twist a knob or two.

    @SpectateSwamp said:

    Your eyes must be smoking craters in the middel of your face, having had to sit there watching random text/video/images flash by for years on end in the hopes of finding what you were looking for.

    Some somebody. A stone carrier. A software program that allows me to examine video in super slow motion. A Digital Camcorder and I was hunting them by that time. The Mushroom Clouds I videoed got me seeing things. Then I was obsessivly searching for them. Damn they were everywhere and different shapes too.

    I'm a stone carrier too... I keep them in the soles of my shoes, where they get randomly picked up and dropped off as I'm walking along.

    @SpectateSwamp said:

    I have that too. It's called "pause". Can't get any slower than "not moving". And then I can move forward/backwards frame-by-frame using the left and right arrow keys. Wow...

    @SpectateSwamp said:

    A Digital Camcorder and I was hunting them by that time.

    So you're saying an Analog camcorder wouldn't have spotted them? That strongly suggests you're stalking phantom artifacts caused by digital compression. Of course, with an analog camcorder, you'd be stalking the wily "generation loss" monster anyways. Nasty beast. Big sharp pointy teeth with breath most foul.

     @SpectateSwamp said:

    The Mushroom Clouds I videoed got me seeing things.

    Just because a cloud looks like a mushroom doesn't mean it is a 'shroom. I saw a cloud that looked like a bunny rabbit just the other day... and so close to Easter too. Must be a sign of some sort.

    And of course, here's more proof that our alien Overlord Masters are on their way, this time spotted over Hawaii. Scary. That circular bit underneath must be where all the teeth are, and swoop down to try and munch you off the ground as you're out stalking the wily Video Artifact Beast.

    @SpectateSwamp said:

    Yes, clouds are funky that way. Always different shapes and colors and sizes. You'd think they were trying to screw with our minds or something. Or perhaps just be part of that oddball section of stuff called "Natural Phenomena".

    Pause would be pure silly. When searching I set the swamp search to play at 1/10 speed and I sit close and watch. Hitting enter pauses the video. It takes 10 minutes to view a 1 minute clip as it is. Hitting pause no pause is no way to search for aliens.

    You bet they do. If they got great software. and a DVD camcorder like I do.

     @spenk said:

    Mpeg video allows the program to stop and start anywhere you want it. I set it to start play at a given point in the video. And play for 1/30 of a second and pause for 10/30 second then play the next 1/30 of a second then a pause. Most any operating system has an equivalent to MCIsendstring so this program could easily be ported to run video on Linux or Mac. Check the code where slow motion takes place. Pure genius

    Oh... and Jam It!

  • @SpectateSwamp said:

    Mpeg video allows the program to stop and start anywhere you want it.

    There isn't a video format out there that DOESN'T allow for that. MPEG isn't anything special, it's just one of a few zillion codec formats for video. Hell, you could stop/start anywhere you wanted with good old VHS tapes. It just took a long while to wind the tape to the right spot.

    The problem is that a lot of people go to extremes to minimize output file size and only put in a single key frame at the start of the video. That means you can't fast-forward without having to decode/sequence the entire video to reach the spot you're seeking to. And yes, this applies to MPEG as well. If all you've got are I-frames, then you can seek pretty much instantly to any given frame. If you've got one I-frame at the start, and then nothing but B- and P-frames, then good luck seeking at anything but a crawl.

    Be thankful your camcorder and camstudio have sane defaults and don't try to minimize size at the expense of seekability.

    able to explain this stuff away. Can't they. Anyway the tips are:
    How to capture video artifacts of your own. Sorta like a strange art
    Shoot clouds and sky with the sun at your back. Like in the video.
    If you have a bird put it in the video. You'll capture more of them.

    - User comment:  "I, being a Canadian, want to inform the world that idiots like SpectateSwamp are rare here in Canada. Please don't think the rest of us are like him!"

     - Spectate is rabidly against editing videos: " Editing is ok for: Stitching a bunch of small clips into a big one (Why do that)". Isn't is interesting that his way of handling all his text files is to 'Stitch' them all together into one big file?

    -  User comment:  "now don't think i'm an a&&hole, because I rarely am. and I do see your point. but expressing your point in the way you did in the place you did was a blatant attempt to **** people off, and I can't respect that."

       -  "Maybe I should shut up. I'm getting banned everywhere." a final quote from our friendly Swampthing, and I disagree, keep up the talk - it'll help me  finish my doctorale thesis! LOL!

    And yet we can't seem to ban him here.  I guess he's finally found his home, because there is no greater WTF than ol' Swampy.

    Oh, and it appears I'm back again for more punishment.  I wish I could quit you, SpectateSwamp.

  • A Blinder bunch I never knew

     Download the original video and look at how these objects move.

    The one at the bottom does a tight loop. The one above moves into the clouds

    It was the super slow motion of Spectate Swamp Desktop Search that revealed this artifact...

    40.27 seconds into the clip

    Mushroom cloud aliens

  • Clouds pretty. Pretty like Swamp Stone. You should Bang. Head On stone. Til dead. Good for ManKind.

  • Great... it took him how long to finally point out a speck in one of his videos and we are supposed to be wow'ed?

    Also... FWIW, the correct laymen's term for that cloud is "anvil", not "mushroom".  Mushroom has certain atomic conocations attached to it.  Also, keep in mind that anvil clouds are formed from extremely strong vertical motions of air (i.e. - WIND!).  It is very common for debris like leaves to be picked up.

    Hey, Spectate, I know the perfect group of people you should go and talk with.  Why don't you bother the people who follow ChemTrails!  At least you would be among friends there.

    You mean you slowed the video down enough that your brain could keep up with it?  I didn't think that was possible.  That is definitely a lot slower than paused.
