I don't think I should be able to edit someone else's post!
-
(watch @fbmac's post content carefully)
I'm TL3
-
I assume that's client side js rather than an event from the server to make it more snappy. His post is still there.
-
You did some CSS trick to show the trash button?
-
No, I navigated using J/K and hit D. Try it.
Also, it DOES show the delete button after that, holy crap, didn't even realize it at first.
-
But the trash icon is there before you selected, I'm disconfused now
-
I did it once before recording. Now I have the trash icon visible. Will go away on refresh / post reload I assume.
-
The damn thing even shows a (clickable) edit pencil after you "delete" the post.
-
From the diff shown there:
if (post.get('post_number') === 1) { this.deleteTopic(); return; + } else if (!post.can_delete) { + // check if current user can delete post + return false; }
It now checks can_delete... unless you're trying to delete the topic.

They literally missed a bug right next to the one they just fixed :wtF:
-
I just checked on meta.derp and that doesn't work, so they nailed that along with the edit.
Obviously it's not going to be fixed here unless we upgrade.
-
-
MY test data says otherwise:
-
Are you not reading today? You can still pretend to edit or delete a post here, yes. Because the bug fix wasn't applied to TDWTF. You can't do either on meta.derp. Obviously I tried doing both things there before saying so here.
