Are we on latest yet?
Probably not:

Looks like @PJH didn't do his normal update today.

Are we on latest yet? If
No. I got rather rudely interrupted at 8.30am to get dragged to an nearly-all-day meeting, followed by actual work rather than on here; I'll get to it now...

Sadly, I was expected to contribute more than my mere presence at it.

I filled the whiteboard 3 times over during the meeting.
Backstory:
Someone in our department is leaving at the end of the year and they're expected to 'pass on their knowledge,' with at least two other members of the department expected to take over each area the leaver is 'the expert in.'
The meetings are the 'passing on their knowledge.' And since I've been there the longest in our department (even longer than the leaver) I was required to fill in more than a few of the blanks between what they were trying to get across and the people who were trying to absorb what was coming across.
I dread to think what's going to happen when I leave...

A week of such meetings, at the least. At least your company attempts to make sure such knowledge gets passed on. No such luck where I am. Heck, when I started my one other coworker at the time had been there two weeks. Our predecessors had left minimal documentation. It was wrong.

When I started in my most recent project a couple of years back, my predecessor had left a mess (I think he left because he hated dealing with the other people in the project; I'm better at listening than he was) so I had to spend several months doing intensive figuring out of what was actually needed. The documentation wasn't so much wrong as irrelevant; the guy was sticking to the original plan too rigidly.

Is that a homosexual euphemism?

Hey @keith, you know that Halloween was more than a month ago, right? Don't you think it's time to ditch the witch's hat?

I think it's funny and I'm hoping intentional.

ins't that hat new?

ins't that hat new?
Indeed. My Christmas hat was becoming uncomfortably seasonally appropriate.

Argh! I can see it now! :O
You're staring upside down at a line of asses with poop hanging off.
Of course you're alternating between blinded and disgusted.

Anyways, the root issue the title and first post refer to should be resolved. Artifact of the Ember 1.8 upgrade.
Good news though, we will check in the Ember 1.9 upgrade Wed and there should be a fresh new round of Ember upgrade related bugs for everyone to play with! Yay!

Always a bit of a toss-up whether it's going to take longer to figure stuff out without documentation, or find all the ways in which the documentation has led you up the garden path.
