-NaN% posters and hamster smurfing!

Not yet.
BWAHAHAHAHAH!
-
it's a good thing you aren't allowed to use that UUID then ...
yet....
that would be fun if someone used that UUID in a popular, non-excluded- topic and then later became admin....
-
You mean this thread wasn't already excluded?!
Probably notNot yet, but that's standard for the script I use, after a few instances where I did post the output on threads that weren't meant to be excluded...Edit: Confirming.
-
That's the type of thing that staff members (now that we have multiple active) probably discuss in the staff lounge. At least, I would hope there's at least something like "Hey, I'm putting the UUID here." "K."
-
Probably not, but that's standard for the script I use, after a few instances where I did post the output on threads that weren't meant to be excluded...
IIRC, I did a search a week or two ago, and there are only four topics with the UUID.
-
There's a fifth in
Staff
that documents them.
-
i'm more talking someone like me posting the UUID for the LOLs and then forgetting about it.
then eons later i get promoted to admin because @pjh got a little senile in his old age and suddenly the thread that is still popular, and on topic/not spammy enough that no one else has posted the UUID in it suddenly gets excluded and a bunch of peopl edrop several orders of magnitude in their 2^n badges.
;-)
not likely (mostly because the odds are that Hades will open a skating rink before i'm trusted with TL4 let alone staff/admin) but possible, particularly if it's not me that posts the UUID.

Vacation is a barrier to staying in the 5% club. Work is going to be a barrier to getting back into it.

Vacation is a barrier to staying in the 5% club.
Only if you're on the edge. Or take a really long vacation.
-
Yes, well, I've been at the bottom of the 5% group or the top of the 10% group since @pjh started keeping track. This is the second time I've dropped out of the 5%.
-
well, and i'm not saying this is even a possible thing, but you could possibly take a bot that someone else has written and configure it to autopost in /t/1000 and other excluded threads for you automatically...
if you have it post 12 posts/day it should keep you in the 5% all by itself...
not that i'm admitting that such a piece of software exists at all. if it does exist it most certainly does not have an official update thread in programmers testing with links to github commits!
:-P
-
I am aware, in general, that bots could be used to improve my stats. However, I take pride in the fact that, so far, every action for which statistics are kept here I have taken manually — typing or clicking with my own fingers (with the exception of "time spent reading," which I appear to have unintentionally inflated due to keeping the emoji FAQ always open in a tab). I will admit to not having actually read everything I have "read" — infiniscrolling just slowly enough for Discurse to mark the posts "read," and of course liking posts as rapidly as possible in that topic — but even so, all done manually. The only bot- or script-like thing I use is the "Remy" bookmarklet.
-
yeah.
i'm cyborgized but all my cyborg side does it like in that topic. everything else is me.

Won't work, since excluded topics are excluded. ;)

I believe the

correct, but not where the UUID topics are filtered.

that's what excel autoassigned. i would have much rather have been pink or purple to green...

First, that's an old version of the query that he posted on Oct 17. Try something newer. Like this one from mid November:
[postgres@sofa tmp]$ LIMIT=60 sql_tdwtf month_posts

WITH exclusions AS ( /* Which categories to exclude from counters /
SELECT user_id, id, topic_id, post_number

ORDER BY count() DESC, bp.user_id
),
TotalUsers AS (
SELECT max(row_number) from LastMonth
),
QUERY AS (
SELECT username, user_id, row_number, cast(row_number100.0/TotalUsers.max AS numeric(36,2)) as percent, count, CURRENT_DATE granted_at
FROM LastMonth, TotalUsers
WHERE cast(row_number*100.0/TotalUsers.max AS numeric(36,2)) < 30
LIMIT 60)
SELECT row_number as rank, username, percent, count
FROM QUERYSecond, there's this:
Now, you were saying about not being excluded from the top posters badgers?

not unless @pjh changed the badge query.
Now, you were saying about not being excluded from the top posters badgers?
i stand corrected then.
My appologies.
-
All the %age queries, mutatis mutandis, are
WITH exclusions AS ( /* Which topics to exclude from counters */ SELECT user_id, id, topic_id, post_number FROM posts WHERE raw LIKE '%xxx%' AND user_id IN ( SELECT gu.user_id FROM group_users gu WHERE group_id IN( SELECT g.id FROM groups g WHERE g.name IN ('admins') ) ) ), LastMonth AS ( /* Count eligible posts from last month */ SELECT row_number() OVER (ORDER BY count(*) DESC, bp.user_id), u.username, bp.user_id, count(*) FROM badge_posts bp JOIN users u on u.id=bp.user_id AND bp.user_id NOT IN ( /* ignore bots */ SELECT gu.user_id FROM group_users gu WHERE group_id IN( SELECT g.id FROM groups g WHERE g.name IN ('bots') ) ) WHERE topic_id NOT IN ( /* short topics */ SELECT topic_id FROM badge_posts GROUP BY topic_id HAVING count(topic_id) <10 ) AND topic_id NOT IN ( /* Ineligible topics */ SELECT topic_id FROM exclusions ) AND bp.created_at > CURRENT_DATE - INTERVAL '1 month' GROUP BY u.username, bp.user_id HAVING count(*) > 1 ORDER BY count(*) DESC, bp.user_id ), TotalUsers AS ( SELECT max(row_number) from LastMonth ) SELECT username, user_id, row_number, (row_number*100/TotalUsers.max), count, CURRENT_DATE granted_at FROM LastMonth, TotalUsers WHERE row_number < TotalUsers.max *.05 and row_number != 1

Conditions are a barrier to pedantic dickweedery.
As is humility.
Alas, I fear I may never get pedantry badge.
-
and with that... this topic briefly becomes the sixth excluded topic. ;-)
-
hmmm?

Conditions are a barrier to pedantic dickweedery.
yeah... well i never wanted those badges either.
as much as i occasionally wish to wield the implement mentioned in the gold level badge against certain people... ;-)

Aw, I was all prepared to be amazed.

well theoretically i could have gotten outlook to do that, but it would really gave been outlook embedding a tiny excel chart.

blakeyrat | 3866

accalia | 3737Heh. Me and @blakeyrat were post-count buddies, however briefly.
Also I'm not sure how @accalia's below me here.

well that's the 2^n badge query, not the % query.
also at the rate i'm going that's not going to last long. ;-)

well that's the 2^n badge query, not the % query.
FrostCat of Borg says queries are irrelevant. I was surprised I've still got a higher count than you is all. I'll get 2^12 eventually.

There's a rabbit joke in there somewhere ... I'm sure of it ...

"maybe it's all those rabbits you eat, you know, being a fox and all. get it, get it?"

something about the only thing other than food a rabbit thinks of?EDIT: Hanzo'd by @Magus with a much better answer

Rather shocking, that. I normally overthink my posts and chime in incredibly late.
-
"maybe it's all those rabbits you eat, you know, being a fox and all. get it, get it?"

I dunno, both seem pretty weak. I was thinking something like:

Your posts do seem to be breeding like rabbits.
-
i'm in meeting with distractions.... bit of a handicap.
-
I dunno, both seem pretty weak.
Nah, yours lacks context and originality. Your setup removed any chance of humor, so I aimed precisely at the ground.
-
Yours would have been better as:
"Maybe it's all those rabbits you eat. You are what you eat, after all."
Just enough explanation to help the reader figure it out, but not enough to kill the joke. And it's still (a little) funny!
-
You're post is boring and your boring.
-
that sounds like something @zoidberg would say!
-
@accalia, You seem malnourished. Are you suffering from internal parasites?

Shhh! No one must know!!!
