What's the number of the parking space the car is at?
Answer as fast as you can.
It's okay to read @Eldelshell's post below now, since it no longer spills out the answer. Discourse can be so wonderfully interactive.
87. I cropped the left part of the image where you could also see 16 and 06.
I think that made it too obvious that you're looking at the numbers upside-down.

78 upside down
Edit: commented my answer

Funnily enough, my answer was 78.
Time for dickweedery: the numbers in the picture are clearly right way up (compare size of loops in the 8), so the upside-down ambiguity is absent and hence the riddle is unfair. Even the suggestion of perspective distortion does not deflect this issue, because:
a. the numbers don't follow the same perspective distortion as the parking lines
b. there's no manner of perspective distortion that would create the observed shape of the numbers
-
For a moment there I thought your answer was
L8.
I accept your dickweedery. I didn't make this picture. so it's no dandruff on my shoulders.

No we are not going there ...

By reading (one of) the FAQs.
If you've not at least skimmed everything in that category, I suggest you waste at least 10 minutes in there.

Note to self: do not quote spoilertext...

Have you met darkmatter?

Oh yeah, now that you mention it...

I'm a man of the woods, I don't read manuals, man's, faq's or hello world's.

ooh, I'm curious what you guys will come up with for this "lateral thinking puzzle" (they're all total bullshit but I love to see what people come up with):
A man walks into a restaurant and orders albatross soup. He takes one taste, runs outside, and kills himself

He realises that his dyslexia means he ordered an Albert Ross soup. Albert Ross is his missing brother who he has been searching for for the last decade. Distraught, he decides he can no longer face life
-
was shipwrecked on an island for many years, every time a crewmember died the cook made albatross soup to commemorate, when he got rescued he was happy but missed the soup. when he ordered it and tasted it he knew that it wasn't albatros in the soups at the island.
old one but a good one.

On a different note:
is it annoying
to have
a topic
where
every post is rife
with
spoiler tags
?
Web 2.0 introduced the idea that almost every word or phrase would be an active hyperlink, so everything being riddled with
spoilers
is a clear logical progression for the Forum of the Future.

A man is found lying dead in an alley just off the Vegas Strip, he is found surrounded by 52 bicycles.
How did he die?
to the first one to get it if they use spoiler tags properly

Heart attack.Next!

Heart attack.
BZZZZT, wrong. at least according to every version of this brain teaser i've heard.
-
A man is found lying dead in an alley just off the Vegas Strip, he is found surrounded by 52 bicycles.
How did he die?
He got tired of life.
-
surrounded by 52 bicycles
Version I heard there were 53 bicycles, and he was murdered for cheating, since there should only be 52 bicycle cards in the deck

Context: Bicycle are a company that produce playing cards: www.bicyclecards.com
-
You've missed a slash. You've also Hanzo'd me.
-
DING DING DING!
@pjh got it right, despite the fact that i misremembered how many bicycles there were.
and an extra for finding a bug in my riddle.

No response to my awful pun, huh?
I guess it wasn't
in the cards.

that sunglasses meme was tired, old, and not funny before it was even a meme....

A woman gets into a lift on the 1st floor (American counting.) When it stops on the 7th floor, she realises her husband has died and breaks down crying. How'd she know?
-
Did she get a text message?

-
@pjh got it right, despite the fact that i misremembered how many bicycles there were.
Yeah, I suspected a card thing going on, but 52 isn't suspicious.
the power went out, the wife was in hospital on life support. presumably in this world there is no such a thing as a UPS on critical hospital equipment.
-
Yup. Though as told
the setting was at home and hubby on an iron lung or somesuch in the apartment.
-
He was standing on the roof the lift (fixing or retrieving something perhaps) and she accidentally pressed the button for the top floor. He tried frantically to get back down into the lift but to no avail (his foot go caught or something and the lift began on the 6th floor so there wasn't much time). She knew he was dead when she heard the scream and the crunch.
Hospitals tend to have backup power for things like life support but probably not for things like lifts so it can't be that.
-
He was standing on the roof the lift
This was my first thought too, despite my previous post. My second thought was
when the lift stopped at the seventh floor and it opened its door, her husband was there laying dead
@LurkerAbove said:
the lift began on the 6th floor
This goes against what PJH wrote.
