Borris: So, just HOW awesome is Discourse?
-
Make Discourse awesome
But how awesome is Dicsourse?- Chuck Norris
- A kitten
- A grumpy kitten
- A video of a kitten doing something funny and then looking grumpy
- David Hasselhoff
- David Hasselhoff in his pants, stroking a pug
- it's like lemonparty, tubgirl and goatse all rolled into one!
- Jar Jar Binks
- FILE_NOT_FOUND
-
Did you mean to create a poll?
-
Yes, I did. That's how awesome Dicsourse is.
-
I think the poll options need to be the start of the post.
I believe this was discoverable.
addendum - discoverably awesome should probably be an option
-
I just found 3 new bugs posting this. Joy.
-
New to you, maybe.
-
Possibly, although I haven't seen anyone mentioning managing to get a post edit "stuck", and having to "discard" it every time you want to do anything "edit-like" with Dicsourse, with said "discard" taking you back to the thread where you started editing it from, thus losing your place.
-
This is actually a tough choice. I want to say FILE_NOT_FOUND, but "it's like lemonparty, tubgirl and goatse all rolled into one!" seems more like the experience of using it.

They never used to be...
-
The title didn't start with Poll, it was edited in. Would that be why it didn't become a poll?

Yes - that'll be it. The post must 'start off life' as one - it cannot be edited into one. (Though it can be edited out of being a poll and back into one...)
-
I would imagine so. It's nicely discoursistent, though: If you manage to make a real poll and then change the title to close it, that works "on the fly".

Polls aren't actually part of the core features - it's a plugin.
Granted the author is one of the DC devs however...
-
You sure about that?
http://v1.discourse.org/about/ says
Polls
Create quick poll topics for the community to vote on.
-
You sure about that?
Yes. It may be a default plugin, but it's certainly a plugin - anything listed here that isn't discourse is a plugin:
