Branding.

Wait, wut? Are they seriously considering that?

Longer term this is likely to turn to 20 likes over 20 days, to avoid binge liking to become a leader.

And of course there's no way to put a work around into their updater. Nope. Nuh-uh. :eye_roll:

Oh even better, some of the updates you can't install due to branding are security fixes.

Sadly (koff) I can't upgrade to 1.0.0 using the interface provided.
I thought they had access to do this for us. That was part of the reason for going with these guys, is that @apapadimoulis, Esq, MD, FACS, MBA, eMBA didn't have to get his hands dirty.

The 'solution' proposed is to ramp up TL3 requirements so they're not actually achievable. Which results in the inevitable demotion of those who've already gained Leader.
BRILLANT

You know first hand that you don't lose anything (besides 3 of your topics )
He can't troll our Likes Topic Title anymore

Considering how this board doesn't want to have (m)any moderators the amount of people who can edit other peoples post(title) is suprisingly high (Leaders).
Which has largely been used for fucking with the title of two threads for fun & profit, and fixing site-breaking XSS attacks. Where necessary, we pretty much moderate ourselves. That's why this place mostly doesn't need heavy moderation. <a @twatwood tried his own "special" type of "curating" for a bit, and people got really snarky about it. If he'd carried on, he probably would have got himself banned, wither officially or via "hax". I, for one, was looking at ways of removing him from the database at the time; I didn't find any easy ways in, but had Jeff's behaviour continued it might have been enough of a reason to carry on looking.
That's what heavy handed moderation gets you in a place like this - a significant number of people smart enough to fuck you up, wanting to fuck you up.

Have we tested mention-bombing a non-Leader, and seeing what happens when they do become a Leader?
-
We would need to find someone close to being a Leader first.
-
I think that was tried, and the answer was no notifications happened.
-
That does sound familiar.

So, evaluated at the point of being issued, and not re-evaluated if circumstances change.
This actually makes sense, not that I want to admit such about Dickcorpse.

Where else to check but a Leader only topic asking the same question:
