Poll: Should Sam create the suggested badges?
-
Have a look on the user page of @Nagesh , @mikeTheLiar and @codinghorror
I love it, you're doing god's work son!

Bravo!

Reminde me again. Why are codinghorror and Nagesh, so to speak, mutually badged?
-
Very short lived meme IIRC...
-
Sounds like too much work to me....
I voted Yes, but only the ones with the most Likes, and not so many that we can't manage it.
I just imagine that an automated system would be difficult to implement and eat up CPU resources, since it's essentially an event listener.
Funny badges are fun and all, but we don't want this turning into a fulltime job.
-
@sam i won't nagesh badge also on my page. kthx
-
Why not have a plugin that awards the badges?
-
I built a plugin into your plugin so you could plug it in.
-
-
No @codinghorror you only get the @Nagesh badge. @Nagesh and @codinghorror badges are mutually exclusive.
-
Your badges are worthless here. Tell @codingwhorror that it's time to fix another bug
Whee?
I guess this probably won't last long. Maybe the wee hours of the night will help it stay alive a bit longer.

Wow, we're really going to it with the 'sploits at the moment.
It's a shame that it's not spinning too ;-)
-
going to it with the 'sploits at the moment
Because they're the most fun part of Dicsourse!
I only regret that it was so late at night and I was too tired to do anything good. They could have made for a good SignatureGuy.

I am proud of fact that discourage team is fixing bugs as quick as we can discover them. They are one up from Microsoft right here.

I'd love to get the following badge: http://what.thedailywtf.com/badges/16/read-faq
Sadly, I don't know how to read the guidelines.
I think @PJH might have to take a look at it.

Sadly, I don't know how to read the guidelines.I'm guessing it means reading http://what.thedailywtf.com/faq, but that doesn't actually grant the badge. Perhaps it has been disabled because that is no longer the official FAQ, which is now spread across multiple topics in the Meta/FAQs category.

I think @PJH might have to take a look at it.
@PJH looked at it earlier. And found it wanting:

So not disabled, just broken.

Look on the bright side, someone will read the bug report.
But unless it's particularly egregious, or simple to fix, don't expect it to be fixed anytime in the next week...
-
So, WONTFIX for 1.0; close topic; don't fix later because the bug is already closed. Got it.
-
There's been promise of backend tools to do some SQL magic to automate badges; the FAQ badge as-is doesn't make sense for our forum, so I might be able to come up with more meaningful badges...

psst. hey man. want some drugs? here
