Samsung vs Mac

    Telstra hates upload speed

No kidding: those are terrible upload speeds.

That's still quite expensive on a world-scale. I'm on a $15/month plan which includes more than enough minutes for me and 1GB data.
I'm on a $59\month plan, which includes the phone (the original HTC Desire), $300 worth of credit for SMS and MMS and calls and etc and 2GB data. I usually use a tiny portion of the credit and most of the data simply because I communicate with people more via the Facebook Messenger app and email as well as just using the internet for surfing and as a portable hotspot.

Telstra is also the reason we can only get 384kbps at the office, even though the line could do the full 1Mbps that ADSL supports - and quite possibly much higher if they supported ADSL2+ Annex M.

Bring on the NBN! 100/40 is actually the most popular plan as taken up so far. Not long and they'll have even faster, but I'd settle for something that is "only" 100 times faster (up; it'll be about 30 times faster for the download) than we have now.

Provided Mr. Abbott doesn't come into power, because then we'll get FTTN instead. -___-

Sadly, it seems increasingly more likely that he'll be the next PM come election time, unless he manages to balls up seriously between now and next year.
