Yeah, New-York and DC are definitely red states, as long as by "red" you mean that there is a lot of people bleeding to death after not being able to defend themselves with a gun.

Yes, those are two of the three blue states in that list. I'm kind of shocked you managed to find the Wikipedia page. Of course, four of the states are red states, so my original comment is correct and you, once again, look like an illiterate dipshit.

Also, those are the states that do not have statutory Castle Doctrine; many still have similar legal concepts. Vermont, for example, has pretty loose standards on use of deadly force; for example, you can shoot a burglar who breaks into your home, which some Doctrine states don't even allow. I should also mention that Vermont has the least restrictive gun laws of any state in the Union.

His IP has consistently come from the same network block owned by a branch of the Federal government. He claimed it was a proxy, but I see no reason why the Federal government would be running open proxies.

Just found the article, and in the "States with weak or no specific Castle Law" it mentions the following states: Idaho, South Dakota, Nebraska, New Mexico, Vermont, District of Columbia, New York. The first 3 ones are red, the other 4 are blue. Either you are color blind or you are not very good at math, in any event saying that "most are red" is obviously wrong.

(There is even an article on Wikipedia for those who can't tell a red state from a blue state - but as usual feel free to ignore it, don't let facts in the way of your poorly documented statements).

Ha ha! Fool! That's only one blue state!

You can think all you want, both of those are wrong, or at least technically wrong.

You have, I think, (man, the US surely have a lot of boring ass places)

I'm going to guess that you know which branch and the fact that they have operations overseas

It is, I'm nowhere near the US

Never said it was an open one

I wouldn't consider New Mexico to be much of a blue state. It's purple, at best. And as far as use of deadly force is concerned, you can definitely shoot a burglar who breaks into your home in NM.

Well I can't see his IP. But I much prefer my gag of, "he lives in a really, really boring place in the US and just pretends to be a secret agent in North Korea to alleviate the boredom".

Ha ha, what part of the Federal government doesn't operate overseas? But, yeah, I'm trying not to blow your cover here.

As for your story: it's plausible, but I'm not sure I believe it.

    Fair enough.

I don't recall ever saying that, I just found it funny and went along with it.

That is like 99.9 percent of why I visit the site, I'm guessing is the same for everybody (except for dhromed)

Of course. When it is convenient for you, you use Wikipedia to support your claims. But when Wikipedia says you are wrong, then to hell with it, your opinion is more important.

This being said, even if we agreed to use your own interpretation of reality, that makes 3 red, 3 blue, and one "purple-ish", so when you said that "most are red" you were wrong, in all versions of reality. At least you are consistent.

What I love is that you ignore that I'm once again right while you're once again wrong, just so you can quibble over whether NM is a blue state or not.

Your original point was that apparently "in many blue states" there is no Castle Doctrine, which is incorrect. Additionally, you implied that the non-Doctrine states are more restrictive about self-defense, which I have shown is incorrect for at least two states (Vermont and New Mexico).

Finally, if you had any sense you'd realize that it would be better for your central argument (that it's harder to defend yourself in blue states without Castle Doctrine) for New Mexico to be red, not blue. Instead, you've strongly asserted that it is blue, which invalidates much of your original argument.

I suppose if you were less stupid you wouldn't have walked into such an easy-to-spot trap.
