Yes, and quite heavy - the brain consumes 25% of all energy. But try it. "Yes" or "no" are not too long words.
I think maybe you need to ask some non-lazy programmers.

Still strange. I also program. Not the first year. And when suddenly someone says that he is a programmer, but he does not know a single smart word outside of programming, it really surprises. I recently communicated with a Spaniard, through a google translator, about parsing. And related questions touched. No problem - a human being as a human) And here every human being is not human) They write what the stupidest bot can write. Is everyone so afraid of the Admin? Or really bird brains?

What are the mistakes and rules of communication for Russians in the USA?
In the United States, it is not customary to discuss issues of a political or religious nature. People are afraid to turn you against themselves, therefore they deliberately avoid controversial points.
Americans are good-natured and prefer ha-ha funny stuff because it doesn't require any tension.
In Russia, they talk like that only with the sick or idiots...

The Japanese considered us utterly inscrutable at initial contact.
There's also the matter of subtext, and that yelling is not done by people of means or breeding. To us, you are all, what is the word...
nekulturny
,некультурный
, would be the translation.

I have a growing suspicion that I just landed in the wrong place. After all, if an alien lands in the garden of a psychiatric clinic, then he will definitely form the wrong idea about the inhabitants of the Earth. I know the United States better than the people there. I just chose the wrong place.

Nothing surprising about it. Programmers are idiots, just like everyone else.

All Americans agree that at least half of us are stupid idiots. We just can't agree which half.

The brightest person I know is a woman. The people I most hate are women. It's easy to hate a woman. If your kitty from morning to evening will do her favorite pastime - kill, kill, kill - you will understand what I mean. Women every day busily drag home parts of the killed, often whole corpses, as well as the living, from which they will then rip off their skin alive, or cook - also alive.
In one popular program, the presenter (a woman) said that a little goat would be cooked for her dinner and that she could go to the market and choose this goat for herself. The presenter did just that. I also shot fun on camera. I almost vomited ... it's hard to believe that God also created her.
I do not doubt for a second that if tomorrow they say that the corpses of young children who died in the hospital will be sold in the meat departments of supermarkets, then the day after tomorrow a woman will busily feel those little bodies.
You think this is a strange topic. But your country has become the first place where cats can go out of the house. Cats that are never mentioned in the Bible. And if the monster Scarlett is the best of them, then imagine what the worst will be. However, you may not even imagine, you have already seen everything - a vicious cry of disappointment if the victim commits suicide to avoid torture.
You can laugh. And tell yourself that everything is fine. But time moves on. New Hillaries are growing up...

Philosophy appears where the problem is too complex for a specific instrumental study. That is why all science in the beginning was only philosophy. But philosophy is not just long thoughts with no result, for example, the atomic hypothesis first appeared in the minds of the philosophers of Ancient Greece - and this is an extremely practical hypothesis.
Long thoughts - and you are already a philosopher. And here it is important not to rush to read thick books, because usually long thoughts are a way to put things in order in your head, well, like a dream - you don't ask someone to sleep for you.
Everyone has at least three eternal reasons to ponder - there are three startling facts you can't get away from, three great miracles. First, the fact that you exist and are aware of your existence. Secondly, the fact that there was an endless time when you did not exist. Third, the fact that inevitably (and rather quickly) an infinite time will come when you will not exist.
What's the point in thinking about all this? Since this is a built-in mechanism, it probably makes some sense. Maybe it's about getting bolder. And write what you want without looking cowardly at the moderator's warning. Maybe these thoughts help to correctly discern other problems, on a smaller scale - God, politics, computers ...
-
“I'll think about it tomorrow,” Scarlett told herself...
As if "tomorrow" will come someday)

In Russia, the number of those who do not have independent thinking is equal to 76% (who voted for Putin). But it seems to me that in the USA this percentage is higher ... This is sad. Or not? After all, this is also a good question for an independent philosophy!
I have previously written about the similarities between the United States and India. Then castes are to be expected. In fact, they have existed for a long time, but there will be many more - a caste of writers, a caste of programmers, a caste of cashiers, a caste of thieves ...
Since brains are shrinking, then only through narrow specializations can this problem be solved.

The Daily WTF (also called Worse Than Failure from February to December 2007) is a humorous blog
dedicated to "Curious Perversions in Information Technology". The blog, run by Alex Papadimoulis, "offers living examples of code that invites the exclamation ‘WTF!?'" (What The Fuck!?) and "recounts tales of disastrous development, from project management gone spectacularly bad to inexplicable coding choices."
In addition to horror stories, The Daily WTF "serve[s] as [a] repositor[y] of knowledge and discussion forums for inquisitive web designers and developers" and has introduced several anti-patterns, including Softcoding, the Inner-Platform Effect, and IHBLRIA (Invented Here But Let's Reinvent It Anyway).
The site also has an associated "Edition Française", a French-language edition headed up by Jocelyn Demoy, launched in March 2008, as well as a Polish edition.
A running gag in the forums is that the site is the original "WTF", as it doesn't provide even basic search capabilities.
