You are drunk. In Russia, people are not killed because of the words of a prostitute who remembered that 20 years ago this man had sex with her not in agreement.

Recently, I have been thinking about the paradox: why a reasonable person always commits unreasonable actions. My actions regarding NodeBB are being carried out within the framework of this project
Am I the only one here who thinks that Discourse might be a better candidate for study in this regard?

no, they just get very ill and then die.

Don't use any JavaScript.
...and make sure to avoid dirty CSS tricks lest someone wanders in with their trusty
xlinks2
and finds themselves knee-deep in the bowels of elements that should have been invisible.I would have done just that, except my scientific advisor wanted an interactive (zoomable, pannable) plot (with more information provided for each peak on hover and ability to change all colours without reloading the page) and a fancy interactive picker for some of the parameters. Best I can do is avoid using language features that are too new and provide a fallback that does what it can when there's no JS.

this can all be done with CSS

How much of https://dygraphs.com/ can be replicated using CSS? This is what I've chosen and people are used to its features now.
Also, the current design involves dynamically creating pairs of
<input>
s because some parameters can be specified an arbitrary number of times. I'm afraid that my colleagues are used to it, too.Can CSS be used to set an
<input type="text">
value to a constant string on click and to hide aposition: absolute; z-index: 1;
element at the same time? People have been asking me to implement that.If you tell me "just write a desktop app", well, that was my idea too, but my scientific advisor had been drinking the "everything is a website" kool-aid. It'll be fun once other people learn about the website and start hogging the computational resources.

But you already have them. This language you call your own? Made by strangers. The inputs so far given? Devised, or in most cases merely accidentally produced, by strangers. You are to yourself already a stranger.

The word Google Translate is looking for is "consent", not "agreement". I would like to kindly advise you to avoid continuing this topic unless you want to plumb the depths of the Trolleybus Garage.

After the Numinous hits on an inadequately prepared mind, some religion tends to happen.
-
@sloosecannon My religion appeared long ago - from my thoughts. And here I am for the reason that the religion of NodeBB reached Russia. Of course, not only her. This absurd cruel feminism, this homosexuality ... I am afraid that the most advanced countries in the world are once again preparing the most difficult tests for him.
-
@sloosecannon But I must admit that ulianlam gave me an incredibly large gift, there will be a sequel
-
@sloosecannon I hope that you are not such a fool as some and understand that the word religion should be enclosed in quotation marks, i.e. not a religion, but an understanding of the world
