So HP, a major hardware vendor, hires a CEO who came from a software only company. That didn't work out so well (suprise). And now they have fired him and announced that they are replacing him with a person who was formerly the CEO of . . . . Ebay. Once again truth is stranger than fiction.

Well, Ebay managed to not completely self-destruct during the years that Meg Whitman was in charge, so she can't possibly be worse than Apotheker. Plus, I just noticed, "Apotheker" sounds like one of the evil goa'uld from Stargate SG-1, so the board should really have taken that was a warning going in.

Hey I keep wondering why Ba'al never easily just took over shit entirely, seeing as how his tech was way more refined than the other Goa'uld. Gravity-controlled prisons! Super-durable soldier! Using Lanthian tech effectively (beaming power into the SG-1 iris)! Crisp holoprojection! Stable self-cloning! Time portals! All the others could manage was Big Ship Have Guns Go shootshooty.
