@Cursorkeys C99 lets you capitalize If? I thought it was VB.

@Rhywden That's an amendment though, not the main bill. The main bill is next up.

Probably not, I don't think I've ever tried. I'm on mobile so that was typed not copy pasta, auto-capitalisation strikes I guess.
-
Doesn't look much better for the main bill, though.
Edit: Aaaaaand it's sunk. 202 for, 432 against.
-
@Rhywden Which surprises absolutely nobody.

Well, from where I stand, the only real possibilities I now see are:
- Revocation of Article 50
- Hard Brexit.
-
@Rhywden I heard some suggestions last week that they wanted to postpone and keep the current status. But since that requires unanimous approval from the EU members, I don't see it happening.

Yes. Also, the EU officials have made it very clear that they'll consider an extension only for a 2nd referendum or a general vote in the UK.
However, a 2nd referendum will run into time problems because it will take at least 5 months to setup - but the EU elections are due in June.
Or to summarize the position of Barnier: "Extension? Why not. But why exactly?"

The EU's response should simply be in the form of a Monty Python clip of "Get on with it!"

@Rhywden said in The Official Status Thread:
Well, the problem is that they're trying to square the circle.
The core problem is that the people who wanted out (so they could do absolutely whatever they wanted) didn't appreciate at all just how much of a catastrophe it would cause. They've never ever actually believed it, so they never tried to work to minimise it or prevent it, and that's resulted in a total stinker of a plan being put forward, with no real attempt to reach out to anyone outside their little clique.
So it's failed, surprising nobody sane. There's not been another parliamentary catastrophe on this scale since at least the 1970s, or possibly since 1940. Not in the meaningful working lifetime of virtually any of our current elected representatives. The big question now: what next? Given just how low the regard is of both parties for their respective leaders over this (and in general too) it's a fascinating question.
Ancient Chinese curse time, indeed.

Status: Whoever developed auto-billing can go die in a fire. I just had my car insurance cancelled due to non-payment because something in their auto-billing system failed and I guess it's too difficult to either try again or perhaps notify me that I had a payment due.
As bad as IT really is, I'm dumbfounded that the world works as well as it does.
Good grief. So, basically my credit card was compromised and locked due to a fraudulent charge...but nobody told me this. Then everything I have set up to auto-bill on that card got rejected...and nobody told me this. Not a single company alerted me and said "Hey, our transaction was rejected, wanna fix that for us?" Now I was just notified by my landlords that my renters insurance was cancelled and that needs to be addressed ASAP. Looked it up, and yep, it was cancelled due to non-payment and my insurance provider never told me this even though they told my landlords.
You couldn't make this system worse if you tried.
Happened to me too. So dumb.

It will if you make a definition macro thingy!

@dkf Apparently it's the largest loss in modern British political history. Second place is a vote in 1924 which was lost with 166 votes difference.
-
@PleegWat Yes; I can't think of any other case where the size of the majority against the government was larger than the total number of votes received by the government. It's a catastrophic drubbing, and on a policy that is utterly central to government policy; it cannot be viewed as anything other than a matter of whether the Government still has the confidence of the House.
Yet the Prime Minister apparently doesn't think she needs to resign. Absolutely unbelievable.

@TimeBandit I'm rather partial to the

@Tsaukpaetra On first glance I thought the last function was

, which is where I'd like to put some of these sorts of trailing expressions.

@dcon I had the same thing happen.
Seems the update un-ignored some of the categories on me.

Also, why anonymous type and not value tuple?

@Tsaukpaetra Yes, and I've no idea what that means. Is it an old version of C#? Do your employees have trouble grasping the concept? Are you just saying it hasn't been used yet?

Using more than at most two distinct letters of the alphabet for variable names might also help.

@topspin of course a German citizen wants Ger... wait, that's not a joke, that's the truth, and a very sane position actually.

Status: So, UE4's cooker can compress the resultant build files. You know, because that should typically be enabled by default unless you're running processors that can't handle it (like, Pentium II).
This, according to the source code, is enabled with
-compress
in the commandline options for theunrealpak
program.
Apparently, this flag does not get passed if you give the Unreal Automation Tool the flag. No, why would it?
Indeed, you need to tell UAT
-compressed
because, apparently, you need to tell it what you want it to have already will be done, instead of what to do.
-
@Tsaukpaetra No, see, it's clearly the
-d
