It's stupid to shop phones based on brands. Give us specific models and then we'll be able to tell you which one to aviod the most, and which one to avoid the least.
Although you should definitely avoid Scheissung.

Mi A2, part of the androidone phones group, stock Android. Plain and simple. It's very minimal out of the box and it has been a joy to use. I don't have to click through 12839 menus to get to where I want anymore.
